Anne Hathaway wows in a semi-sheer dress as she joins glamorous Emilia Jones at Ralph Lauren’s New York Fashion Week show

Anne Hathaway turned heads at Ralph Lauren’s New York Fashion Week show on Tuesday, wearing a stunning, slightly see-through dress. She was joined by Emilia Jones at the event.

The 43-year-old American actress looked stunning in a brown outfit, complete with a feathered cape, as she posed at the fashion show.

Anne was joined on the runway by 23-year-old Emilia, a British actress and the daughter of singer Aled Jones.

She looked striking in a black leather corset paired with a stylish tan midi skirt, and she completed the look with dark sunglasses.

Emilia’s latest movie project saw her star in The Running Man alongside leading man Glen Powell.

Supermodel Gigi Hadid stormed the runway as she modelled several outfits on the catwalk.

Anne has a lot on her plate this year, getting ready to promote two new films: a sequel to The Devil Wears Prada, and an adaptation of Coleen Hoover’s novel, Verity.

The first trailer for the long-awaited sequel to “The Devil Wears Prada” showed a noticeably uncomfortable reunion between the characters played by Meryl Streep and Anne Hathaway, and it was released earlier this month.

The scene opened with Miranda Priestly, the demanding editor-in-chief of Runway magazine (played by Meryl Streep), sitting at her desk. Anne Hathaway, as her former assistant Andy Sachs, walked in cheerfully, greeting her with a bright ‘hello’.

After two decades, Priestly asked her art director, Nigel Kipling (Stanley Tucci), for his opinion. He jokingly responded by comparing the item to something you’d find at T.J. Maxx.

‘Sorry,’ the icy fashionista – who’s nearing retirement – shrugged.

‘Who is this? Do you know her? Do I know her?’

Sachs, the newly hired fashion editor at Runway, introduced herself as ‘Andy Sachs,’ but received no response.

Soon after, the group meets with Emily Charlton (Emily Blunt), who used to work closely with Priestly. Now, she’s a competitor, also trying to win advertising money as print magazines become less popular.

‘You also know her?’ the cruel tastemaker marvelled.

‘We were at Runway at the same time, Miranda,’ Charlton dryly replied.

Those who enjoyed the original 2006 movie might remember when the employee, after receiving a compliment from her boss about her drive, dramatically walked out of Paris Fashion Week and threw her phone into a fountain, effectively resigning.

The movie, based on Lauren Weisberger’s 2003 book and made with a $41 million budget, was a huge success, earning over $326.7 million worldwide and receiving positive reviews from critics.

When the trailer for The Devil Wears Prada 2 was released, viewers reacted quickly. One YouTube user, @Kardlonoc, praised a specific moment, noting that Miranda’s dismissive attitude towards the events of the first film felt true to her character.

The Devil Wears Prada 2 will be released in US/UK theatres on May 1.
