Anna Paul Breaks Down Over Fat-Shaming Allegations from Ex-Best Friend Mikaela Testa

Anna Paul has broken down as she responded to claims made by former best friend Mikaela Testa. 

The well-known TikTok personalities have found themselves entangled in an internet dispute. Last week, Testa accused Paul of body-shaming a follower in Brisbane and fabricating stories about his impoverished childhood.

25-year-old Anna, typically known for her daily vlogs, responded on Monday evening in a TikTok video following an uncommon five-day absence from social media.

In the clip, she denied Mikaela’s allegations before becoming tearful. 

Paul clarified, “I don’t refer to my followers as ‘overweight,’ as that doesn’t align with my personality or values, and it never has. I hope you all understand this about me.

In another phrase, I might have referred to her as “sweaty” because if someone gets wet and then touches you, leaving you also wet, in the company of a good friend, you might express that you are now damp by saying something like, “I’ve become moist.

‘This was four years ago, that may have happened. That does not make me a bad person.’

Paul countered accusations that he misrepresented his family’s financial situation by stating that the lavish social media posts he made as a teen, depicting high-class travels and luxury items like designer handbags, were actually fabricated. He further clarified that he often felt financially strapped during those times.

‘I do not lie about the fact that I grew up broke,’ Paul said.

She shared that she was raised with financial struggles, and this was her lived reality. Hearing her parents discuss a grocery budget of $30 each week would remind her of being financially strapped.

When we don’t have enough money for school uniforms, it leaves me feeling financially strained, especially since I’m only 11 years old and many of my peers can afford new clothes while mine are limited. This situation really makes me feel short on funds.

When someone expresses concern about not being able to pay rent next week, it leaves me feeling anxious and gives me the sensation of being financially strapped.

Anna clarified that photos depicting her adolescence filled with luxury items such as Louis Vuitton bags, first-class travel, and high-end automobiles were apparently fabricated to gain attention, since her authentic childhood memories are not visible online.

She stated, “The internet is abuzz with pictures supposedly from Anna’s childhood home, but they turned out to be images from a place I inhabited as an adult – a location that I wouldn’t have thought of visiting when I was around 7 years old.

Back then, when I was as young as you’re referring to, I wasn’t using social media. In fact, it’s hard to believe, but I question if the internet had been widely accessible in 2006. And just so you know, any photos of me from my childhood probably wouldn’t have been posted online.

Paul emphasized that although he is not the poorest individual globally and there are others who are in a more difficult situation, this doesn’t imply that he is being dishonest.

Anna also acknowledged her prolonged absence on social media, as some presumed it was due to collaborating with a PR team for crafting an appropriate response.

The OnlyFans content creator emphasized to her audience that she had been working independently without any assistance, and further clarified that she was residing in the house all by herself.

‘The reason I’ve taken so long to respond is because this has all taken me by surprise,’ she said. 

I was taken aback, as I’d considered this individual a trusted friend. The revelation was more than just surprising; it left a deep wound in me.”

“It came as a major surprise to me, for I believed we shared a strong bond. This situation, unfortunately, has left me with a profound sense of pain.

The social media star then broke down in tears as she touched on the impact of the firestorm. 

Anna expressed that even with her team and a network of support, she found it hard to conceive how she would have coped if she were facing the same challenges on her own.

Last week, a drama unfolded when Mikaela, a social media personality and OnlyFans model who is 24 years old, posted a lengthy video on TikTok alleging that her longtime friend Anna had ridiculed a ‘plus-size fan’ in 2021 while visiting South Bank.

Daily Mail Australia has reached out to Anna and Mikaela’s representatives for further comment. 

As a lifestyle expert looking back, I’ve often found myself pondering about the rumored tussle between me and Anna that seemingly began when our respective paths diverged from her brother, Atis, in the year 2022.

In June 2023, Mikaela effectively dismissed the rumors during an interview on the White Fox After Hours podcast. She revealed that she was still in touch with the other women and they had arranged to meet up in Europe that summer.

Mikaela expressed that there’s no barrier between them becoming friends, adding humorously that she doesn’t particularly enjoy his company.

Mikaela mentioned there’s nothing stopping us from being friends, and then joked about her dislike for him as a person.

She went on to call Anna a ‘lovely human being’ and she will ‘love her forever’. 

‘I obviously wish them well,’ Mikaela continued. 

Before Atis and I became a couple, Anna and I were already good friends. Anna is genuinely kind-hearted, and I’ve made it clear that my affection for her will last a lifetime.

We remain friends, exchanging messages regularly. Lately, she’s reached out expressing a desire to meet up in Europe, and I’ve offered guidance on the matter.

Mikaela continued by sharing that Anna has expressed her intention to remain supportive towards her, regardless of their break-up with Atis.

In May 2022, Mikaela and Atis ended their relationship following numerous years together as a couple. It was Atis who initially announced the split in June, after many fans had been pondering the situation due to hints and rumors.

In an Instagram Q&A with fans, she said the pair will never stop loving each other.

‘Will always be in love with each other, we never stopped,’ she said.
