You can now enjoy Fackham Hall, a hilarious British comedy that playfully spoofs Downton Abbey, from the comfort of your home! Featuring a talented cast including Anna Maxwell Martin and Damian Lewis, it’s a show you won’t want to skip.
The movie, co-written by Jimmy Carr, centers on Eric Noone (Ben Radcliffe), a pickpocket who cons his way into the Davenport estate – a grand home that’s been in the wealthy family for many years.
While visiting, Eric becomes attracted to Rose (Thomasin McKenzie), even though she’s already engaged to Archibald (Tom Felton). Their upcoming marriage is meant to save the Davenport family’s reputation, but things might not go as planned.

The comedy film, which just came out in theaters last month, is now available to rent or buy on Amazon. You can rent it for £15.99 or purchase it for £19.99.
I just finished watching Fackham Hall, and it’s really good! Martin is fantastic as Edna McAllister, and Lewis totally nails the role of Lord Davenport. Critics seemed to agree when it first came out – Rotten Tomatoes shows a 75% approval rating based on 53 reviews, which is pretty solid.

According to IndieWire, Fackham Hall is packed with over 90 minutes of constant comedy – think puns, clever wordplay, silly physical humor, and slapstick – but surprisingly still manages to tell a complex story.
The spoof also received positive feedback from general audiences on IMDb, currently holding an average rating of 6.4 out of 10 based on over 6,300 ratings. One viewer described it as “outstanding” in their review.
They described the film as surprisingly clever and well-written, praising its sharp wit, fast pace, and humor. They particularly enjoyed how genuinely funny it was, noting that it made them laugh out loud – something they don’t often experience.

One viewer said Jim O’Hanlon’s show is like a humorous take on Downton Abbey – it has its moments, but it’s a fun, enjoyable series that brings back this kind of lighthearted, silly entertainment.
Now that a parody of Downton Abbey is out, it’s worth remembering the actual show had a movie released last year. Downton Abbey: The Grand Finale, released in September, is believed to be the last film in the series.
Fackham Hall is available to buy or rent on Amazon.
The latest issue of Living Legends magazine is now available, and it’s a special tribute to Dolly Parton! You can find “Dolly at 80” in shops or order it online for only £8.99.
