This quietly powerful film focuses on ordinary, subtle moments, creating a frustratingly slow but effective tension. It gives Kendrick the opportunity to deliver a moving and possibly career-defining performance, according to Empire.

According to The Independent, what makes the film stand out is its nuanced depiction of how psychological abuse slowly takes hold.
Reviewers have also highlighted the strong bond between the characters, with Deadline specifically commending the energetic performances of actors Kendrick, Horn, and Mosaku as a captivating group.
According to The Observer, the most striking aspect of Mary Nighy’s first film, a psychological thriller, is its insightful portrayal of female friendships.

Kendrick will appear in Chris Rock’s upcoming film, Misty Green, which stars Rosalind Eleazar in the title role. The movie also features a strong cast including Adam Driver, known from Star Wars, Daniel Kaluuya from Get Out, as well as Topher Grace, Anthony Anderson, Kelli Garner, Amy Landecker, and Rich Sommer.
Kendrick is also joining a star-studded cast in the upcoming film Babies, directed by Lauren Miller Rogen. He’ll be acting alongside Sharon Stone, Seth Rogen, Issa Rae, Kate Berlant, Ashley Park (known from Emily in Paris), and Zach Cherry from the show Severance.
