Another source hinted that the slight by Jolie might have been connected to the acrimonious divorce she went through with her co-Oscar winner Pitt, which was officially concluded in December following an eight-year legal struggle.

It was suggested that Jolie receives a lot of favorable attention from international media, whereas Brad Pitt continues to be seen as a leading star in Hollywood.

At the Golden Globes on January 5th, Jolie confessed that she had been quite apprehensive about disappointing Callas’ fans and relatives by her performance.
