Angelina Jolie’s dad Jon Voigt pours fuel on vicious family feud with daughter as he insults her political view
As someone who has lived through the tumultuous relationships between my famous daughter and me, I can’t help but feel a deep sense of sadness and disappointment. My father-daughter bond was never strong, with our connection fraying even during her rise to fame as Lara Croft.
Angelina Jolie’s father has added more oil to the already heated family dispute, signaling a renewal of conflict despite previous signs of resolution.
In an intense conversation with Variety, Jon Voigt, aged 85, expressed concern that the perspectives of his daughter towards the Israel-Hamas conflict may have been shaped by individuals harboring anti-Semitic sentiments.
“Voigt claimed that she’s been in contact with right-wing, pro-Israel propagandists and has been negatively impacted by individuals holding anti-Semitic views.”
I, being someone with a link to the United Nations, have relished expressing my views on behalf of refugees. However, it turns out that these individuals are not actually refugees.
The father and daughter have gone through periods of making up after arguments in their complicated relationship, but they’ve also faced numerous difficult times that pushed them apart.
Voigt made a controversial statement recently, which followed his expression of pride for Jolie and her granddaughter Vivienne after their impressive win at the 2024 Tony Awards just over a month prior.
Mother and daughter team created the musical “The Outsiders,” which earned four awards, among them being the prestigious title of Best Musical.
“Oscar-winning actor Voight, 85, expressed his great pride for Vivienne to TMZ following the event. He is also incredibly proud of Angelina Jolie for her efforts in helping each of their children pursue their individual aspirations.”
Angelina Jolie, 49, and Brad Pitt, 60, are the parents of six children: Maddox (22), Pax (20), Zahara (19), Shiloh (18), and the twins Vivienne (15) and Knox (15).
“Angie not only acted superbly in the production, but she also made an excellent director,” Voigt went on praising Angie enthusiastically.

I’ve been following the news about Brad Pitt quite closely lately, and I must say, it seems that this year has brought some challenging moments for him. One such incident that caught my attention was when he had an awkward encounter with his former in-laws during a gallery exhibition in Beverly Hills. This came at a time when Brad was going through a divorce from Angelina Jolie, adding to the already complex situation. It must have been quite an uncomfortable experience for him, navigating social situations amidst such personal upheaval.
During a romantic evening out with his new girlfriend Ines de Ramon, the two-time Oscar winner, aged 60, unexpectedly ran into his ex-wife’s father, Jon Voight, and elder brother James Haven.
While exploring the Gagosian Gallery for an exhibit by the director of his film “Moneyball,” Bennett Miller, an unexpected encounter took place for them.
Showbiz411 reported exclusively that Pitt and Voight engaged in a heartfelt embrace and held a conversation between them.
A bystander shared with The Sun their observation that Brad being in the same room as Ange’s family created an uncomfortable situation, given the limited space.

Voigt’s relationship with his own daughter has arguably been even less cordial.
During the production of Lara Croft: Tomb Raider in 2001, there was a brief interaction between Jolie and her father. However, according to reports, Jolie ended their relationship once again in the early 2000s.
In an interview with Vogue in 2002, not long after appearing in the Lara Croft movie, Angelina Jolie mentioned that we hardly communicate as much as before.
Previously, Voigt publicly criticized Jolie for her views on the Israel-Palestine conflict, as seen in his comment about Variety.
After October 7th, Voigt strongly criticized Jolie for her anti-Israel statements, labeling them as “untrue” and urging that the Israeli military should safeguard their land.
He expressed his disappointment in a Instagram video posted early November, stating that his daughter, like many others, lacks comprehension of God’s dignity and divine truths. (or: He shared in an Instagram video posted early November that his daughter, like numerous others, fails to grasp the concept of God’s respect and divine realities.)

Jolie is formerly a special envoy of the UN High Commission for Refugees.
She claimed that Israel was intentionally targeting children, women, and entire families who were already suffering from food shortages, lack of medical care, and denied humanitarian assistance, going against international legal norms.
Voight expressed his disappointment after learning that his daughter failed to grasp Hamas’ goal of eliminating Israel.
“This involves eradicating the historical significance of the sacred terrain, referred to as the Holy Land, a place of deep importance for both God and the Jewish people. It’s about seeking justice for the children residing in this land.” (Voight added.)
As someone who has lived through numerous conflicts and witnessed the unwavering determination of the Israeli military to safeguard their land and people, I can attest that this is not a time for civil discourse or concessions. This is war, a raw and brutal reality where lives are at stake and the stakes could not be higher. The left may hold different views, but in the heat of battle, there is no room for compromise or negotiation. The Israeli army’s primary responsibility is to protect its people and territory, and that is what they will continue to do with unyielding resolve.
Voight remarked that Israel endured brutal terrorist attacks, harming infants, women, men, and the elderly.

Instead of labeling Israel as the issue, consider reflecting on your own identity and values. Ask yourself, “Who am I? What do I truly believe in?” Seek wisdom from God to distinguish between truth and deceit, rather than blindly following the crowd. Those who grasp the truth can recognize falsehood.
He continued, “These animals harbor a deep desire to eliminate Jews and Christians. Despite receiving substantial financial aid, the Palestinians have failed to distribute it fairly among their people. Instead, they have chosen to invest in weapons, fueling their anger.”
“Israeli people show great compassion and affection towards others, a feeling that eludes animals. Rest assured, fairness will ultimately triumph.”
Voigt urged Jolie to reconsider her stance on Israel’s involvement in the conflict, stating, “Hamas and their deceptive rule are causing harm to their own people.”
He likewise praised the remarkable bravery of Jews in the wake of numerous calamities throughout history, including the Holocaust and more recent conflicts.
