Angelina Jolie steps out in Paris after receiving her ninth Golden Globe nomination as she takes a break from filming new movie Stitches
As a dedicated follower of Hollywood, I have had the privilege of witnessing the evolution of some of the most iconic figures in the industry, and Angelina Jolie undoubtedly stands among them. Her latest nomination for a Golden Globe is yet another testament to her versatility as an actress, and it’s hard not to feel a sense of awe when I see her gracefully navigating the streets of Paris, even in the face of adversity such as a broken toe!
On Monday, Angelina Jolie presented an elegant appearance in a lengthy, camel-colored wool coat while strolling around Paris, momentarily pausing her work on the movie “Stitches” she is currently producing.
The 49-year-old actress was stunning, choosing a harmonized midi skirt with her coat and selecting comfy black ballet flats to complete the look.
Angelina toted her belongings in a large tan handbag and carried a reusable coffee flask.
With her cascading golden hair flowing freely, the renowned American actress donned oversized aviator eyewear while venturing through the cityscape of Paris.
Her outing comes hours after Angelina was nominated for a Golden Globe for a ninth time.
The actress landed a Best Performance By A Female Actor in a Motion Picture Drama nod for playing opera singer Maria Callas in the movie titled Maria.
In a competition, Angelina is set to challenge Angelica (for The Last Showgirl), Natalie (for Babygirl), Tildy (for The Girl Next Door), Fernanda (for I’m Still Here), and Kathleen (for Lee).
Among the other projects Angelina Jolie was recognized for include “George Wallace,” “Gia,” “Girl, Interrupted,” “A Mighty Heart,” “Changeling,” “The Tourist,” “In the Land of Blood and Honey,” and “First They Killed My Father.
She won for the first three.
The 82nd Golden Globe Awards will be held in Los Angeles on January 5, 2025.
Last week, following her foot injury the previous day, Angelina appeared barefooted when she was on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon.
She made her first late-night appearance in more than a decade to talk about her new Netflix movie Maria and her Tony award-winning production of The Outsiders: A New Musical.
Upon stepping elegantly into the studio while a reworked tune of “Jolene” by Dolly Parton played, it became clear at once that Angelina had opted to go barefoot.
And host Jimmy, 50, was quick to point out her naked feet soon after she took a seat.
‘I noticed that you’re barefoot,’ he observed. ‘Did you forget your shoes?’
Angelina explained that she had hurt her toe the previous day, so she was looking for a comfy pair of shoes. Ultimately, she opted to go without any footwear.
Jimmy declared, “You’re not required to put on shoes!” He added warmly, “Feel free to be comfortable. We’re simply thrilled to see you here.
Previously, it came to light that the Academy Award-winning actress is set to appear in a movie taking place within the glamorous realm of European high fashion.
According to Variety, the upcoming French movie is directed by Alice Winocour and will be filmed in both French and English.
Angelina plays the lead role in the movie, portraying a filmmaker. Her storyline intertwines with those of two other women, forming a narrative set against the backdrop of Fashion Week.
The movie is being produced by CG Cinema, which is based in Paris under the leadership of Charles Gillibert. They are teaming up with Zhang Xin and William Horberg from Closer Media for this production.
Recently, Angelina had been in Paris to shoot the movie titled ‘Maria’. In this production, she portrayed the legendary Greek opera singer Maria Callas during her late years in the 1970s.
At the Venice Film Festival, the premiere of the movie received an eight-minute long, enthusiastic standing ovation from the audience.
The thespian is tipped to be nominated for a Best Actress Oscar her role in the film.
In the year 2000, she was awarded an Oscar for Best Supporting Actress for her role in “Girl, Interrupted.” Interestingly, she had previously been nominated for another film titled “The Changeling” as recently as 2009.
Angelina recently admitted winning an Oscar for Maria would be a bonus.
