In a recent revelation, the 49-year-old actress portraying opera singer Maria Callas in the new movie titled “Maria,” shared that contrary to the fate of the late vocalist, she does not perceive her influence waning as she grows older.

In a recent interview with The Sunday Times, the mother of six shared that she’s found better job opportunities as she’s grown older.

Instead of focusing on the roles you’re offered, I consider the life experiences you bring to a project, as Jolie mentioned during the interview (where she also praised her children).

She added, ‘It’s easier for actors than singers or dancers because your body doesn’t change.’

While disagreeing with Callas’s fear of ageing, Jolie admired her ‘commitment’ to work.

She revealed that she works diligently, and she’s also someone who feels deeply. Due to this sensitivity, Maria can find herself exposed to feelings of loneliness or emotional distress because they are a constant aspect of her life and professional endeavors. In essence, she is deeply human in all that she does.

Early in her career, Jolie was a dedicated method actress.

In the production of Gia (1998), she became so engrossed in portraying a drug-dependent supermodel character that she informed her spouse at the time, Jonny Lee Miller, that she wouldn’t be reachable on set.

In the interview, she mentioned that unlike Callas, she’s not a solitary individual due to her extensive family ties.

“Unlike Maria, who found her purpose in work since she didn’t have a family, my role as a parent takes priority over my job.

Actress who played Maleficent, generating Oscar speculation for her role in the biopic as Callas, is a mother to six children: Maddox (23), Pax (21), Zahara (19), Shiloh (18), and twins Knox and Vivienne (16). These are shared with former spouse Brad Pitt, now aged 60.

In 2014, they got married, however, they initiated the process of divorce in 2016, and it was finalized in 2019, making them legally single since then.

Next year, Angelina and Brad are scheduled for court as they engage in a legal dispute regarding their shared French vineyard.

Brad has a notable distance from all six of his children, as evidenced by Shiloh and Vivienne choosing not to use the surname Pitt.

According to a recent report, People was informed that the actor’s children have not spent a substantial amount of time with their grandparents for more than half a decade.

The source added that the insider’s kids interact with Brad’s relatives sparingly, but another source, who is close to Jolie, presented an alternate perspective on this matter.

Angelina does not prevent contact through communication or relationships; instead, she invites them to stay connected with their grandparents.
