As a lifestyle expert with years of experience under my belt, I can certainly relate to Andy Cohen’s nervousness when hosting high-profile guests on his show. It’s always intriguing to delve into the lives of the rich and famous, but sometimes, their larger-than-life personas can be intimidating!

Even though Andy Cohen has been hosting his popular talk show, Watch What Happens Live, for more than two decades, it doesn’t exclude him from feeling a bit jittery every now and then.

In a recent broadcast, Cohen disclosed the leading five visitors who gave him pause for his talk-show – and one might leave you astonished.

He named the five as a part of his ‘Watch What Happens Five’ segment, where he picks five things to honor or mention during the show.

On this occasion, he listed the five individuals he found most anxious to host over the years, commencing with number five – none other than Shaquille O’Neal.

Cohen playfully quipped, “I wasn’t certain if I had the courage to inquire about his size, but I pressed on regardless.

Actually, the writer of The Daddy Diaries later disclosed that Shaquille O’Neal didn’t return to the clubhouse. He even playfully speculated if it might have been something he said.

Fourth on his list was Mama Elsa Patton, a woman who passed away and is the mother of Marysol Patton, a cast member on Real Housewives of Miami.

Initially, on the television series, Patton and her mother gained widespread popularity among viewers, however, tragically, she lost her life in May 2019.

According to Cohen, it was necessary to transport her to New York for the performance, and everyone involved took great care to ensure her safety during the journey.

‘We miss you, Mama Elsa,’ he added.

In 2018, it was Mariah Carey, a well-known figure, whom the Bravo executive felt a bit nervous during an interview – she was the one he warmly greeted on his program.

He explained that he had to swap chairs with Carey, because she wanted her ‘good side’ to show – and it ended up working out great.

And in the top two?

Real Housewives of Salt Lake City star Mary M. Cosby and Oprah Winfrey.

Cohen remarked that she was just as capricious as her fluctuating affection for Filet-o-Fish sandwiches, and we appreciate this very quality in her, when referring to Cosby.

As a devoted admirer, I remember when Cosby made an appearance on that talk show alongside comedian Ziwe a few years back. On Real Housewives of Salt Lake City, she openly expressed her affection for McDonald’s Filet-O-Fish sandwiches. To her surprise, during their meeting, she was generously presented with one as a gift. However, to my astonishment, she confessed that the sandwich left her feeling rather repulsed and that this special order was nothing more than a unique incident.

Finally, Cohen revealed why Oprah was the number one guest he was the most nervous for.

‘If an icon like Oprah doesn’t make you nervous, you might be a zombie,’ he cracked.

It appears that Cohen will continue his role as the creator and host of Watch What Happens Live for several more years.

In an interview with The Hollywood Reporter in 2022, the mastermind behind SiriusXM Radio Andy expressed his desire to continue hosting the show provided it’s permitted.

He shared that as long as he is allowed, he would continue doing it because he enjoys it so much. However, he admitted that he encountered a roadblock in his fifth year, feeling like he was simply ticking off tasks for a while.

‘But I’m just feeling so much energy and excitement for it right now,’ he continued. ‘It feels fresh now that we’re back live with studio audiences and doing live polling.’

‘We started a shotski siren the other night. It took us 13 years to figure out we should have a siren for when it’s time for a shotski.’
