For several years, Cohen (age 56) and Anderson (age 57) have maintained a strong friendship. When it comes to the annual broadcast at the year’s end, they don’t shy away from discussing their shared annoyance on the topic.
‘Well, [it’s] that I have to be the straight guy,’ the Bravo host revealed to People.
For the past 90 minutes during the broadcast, I’ve been rolling around in an ocean of laughter, while everyone else seems to be catching all those commercial breaks! It’s like a secret joke only I seem to be getting.
He’s been acting like a stand-in for CNN for the past hour and a half, while I took on the role of Bravo, he commented. It’s quite amusing how our roles have switched.
Anderson also revealed his pet peeve during a recent episode of Watch What Happens Live.
Earlier this month, Cooper stated something like, ‘Who will be the subject of his insults and what mess we’ll have to tidy up in aisle three tomorrow.’
It seems that the son of designer Gloria Vanderbilt may have been pointing towards the 2021 telecast when Cohen, who was intoxicated, disparaged Ryan Seacrest and the ABC New Year’s Eve show.
Cohen referred to Seacrest’s program as a collection of underachievers, an opinion that resulted in him having to deal with the consequences the following day, still battling a hangover.
Cohen immediately regretted his words.
He expressed that he genuinely admires Ryan Seacrest, acknowledging him as a fantastic individual. However, he later admitted that he regretted his past words due to momentary foolishness brought on by intoxication and impulsiveness.
Cohen recently revealed that his son Benjamin, five, asked for police drones this Christmas.
In a recent interview with Us Weekly, Cohen shared that he asked him to assist in composing a letter to Santa. According to Cohen, the individual requested a police drone as a gift, and this seems quite fitting for the current season.
A drone made from Legos that actually soars through the sky – sounds unreal, I thought. But if it does exist, I’d say it’s just about right on time!
The host of Watch What Happens Live pondered whether his son might have been watching the news, considering the perfectly timed nature of his request.
‘I’m like, “What have you been watching the news?”‘ Cohen joked.
Apart from the Lego police drones, there are some additional items on Ben’s Christmas wishlist. These include gifts intended for his two-year-old sister, Lucy.
According to Cohen, he mentioned that he requested bath toys for Lucy and is interested in obtaining a set of Valentine’s cards to create Valentines for him, as a way of expressing his affection because he adores me.
Cohen is also dad to daughter Lucy, two.
He’s a devoted solo caregiver, candidly sharing his experiences thus far, frequently posting amusing and identifiable glimpses into family life on his Instagram account.
Last year, a Bravo TV producer spoke to People, offering further insights into his son’s unique sense of humor.
‘He’s so funny, and that tickles me for obvious reasons,’ Cohen said of son Ben.
‘I love it that he makes me laugh,’ he continued.
