Andy Cohen denies rumors they are considering bringing Kathy Wakile back to RHONJ

As a devoted fan of the Real Housewives franchise, I must admit that the current state of affairs on RHONJ has left me feeling rather disillusioned. The ongoing turmoil and chaos of Season 14, culminating in the cancellation of the official reunion show, has fueled endless speculation whenever an OG housewife makes an appearance on a related platform.

As a dedicated fan of “The Real Housewives of New Jersey,” I can’t help but feel the current turmoil enveloping the show. Season 14 has been nothing short of a catastrophe, leading to the unfortunate cancellation of the official reunion show. With original housewives occasionally gracing shows like “Watch What Happens Live” with Andy Cohen, it’s natural for fans to ponder the significance behind their appearances.

On July 14, Kathy Wakile, a veteran of Real Housewives of New Jersey (RHONJ), unexpectedly showed up on Watch What Happens Live (WWHL). Her appearance was arranged as a surprise for Gary Janetti, who is a fervent admirer of Wakile and her renowned cannolis. Following her visit to the show, there were numerous rumors swirling among fans that this unexpected encounter might indicate a possibility of Wakile rejoining RHONJ.

Sadly that does not seem to be the case at all. And Andy Cohen was rather quick to end that rumor.

Andy Cohen denies rumors that Kathy Wakile is returning to RHONJ

After the Watch What Happens Live episode, I tuned in to Andy Cohen’s Sirius XM radio show, Andy Cohen Live, where he set the record straight on what transpired and what we can expect moving forward.

The speculation online that I read this morning was that it was some sort of subliminal signal or we were testing things to see how people responded to seeing her in the Clubhouse as a possible return to Jersey.
There was no intention behind her visit besides seeing an old friend and we wanted to surprise Gary Janetti, who we know loves her and her cannolis, and so we just thought it would be fun if we had a, you know, vintage housewife come through the door.

Currently, none of the gossip surrounding RHONJ appears to hold water, given the numerous rumors that have been proven false. Reintroducing the Wakiles into the mix could potentially be intriguing; however, they would need to express a desire to return for this to transpire.

Kathy Wakile is under no obligation to rejoin RHONJ, and her appearance on WWHL wasn’t viewed as a trial run for her return. It was enjoyable to connect with original housewives beyond their reality shows, making this interaction an opportunity to catch up.

At present, it appears that there isn’t a clear plan for RHONJ Season 15 as they are still dealing with the aftermath of Season 14. However, we can look forward to seeing what unfolds next in New Jersey.

Did you think Kathy Wakile appearing on WWHL was a way to soft launch her return to RHONJ? Are you at all disappointed that Andy has completely squashed that idea?
