Prince Andrew is expected to move out of Royal Lodge shortly after Christmas, ending two decades of relatively private living there. While leaving his comfortable home will be difficult, sources say he may find adjusting to life as a private citizen even more challenging.
No one in the Royal Family seemed to enjoy being treated with respect more than Prince Andrew – he expected it even in situations where it wasn’t really warranted, as was clear during his relationship with Emma Gibbs.
After his divorce from Sarah Ferguson in 1996, Prince Andrew dated several women and was open to their company.
Known as ‘Gibbsy,’ this cheerful and generous Australian man was reportedly a friend of Andrew’s, introduced through Ghislaine Maxwell.

She lived in a charming four-bedroom house in a quiet neighborhood in Chelsea, west London, and was just a few doors away from the pub now owned by singer James Blunt, who previously served in the Household Cavalry.
Compared to where he usually stayed, the ordinary surroundings could have made it seem okay to forget formalities.
Not for Andrew.
He was friendly and casual with ‘Gibbsy’, but much more reserved and formal with the other resident, a sophisticated European woman.
She was surprised to receive such careful guidance, especially since she was the actual homeowner, not Gibbsy.
A friend told me she was furious about being asked to curtsy in her own house. Apparently, Gibbsy was her tenant, and the whole situation was ridiculous. It just goes to show he clearly believed he was above the rules.
Hopefully, Andrew has learned from his mistakes. It doesn’t seem like people in Sandringham are eager to show him respect, though.
Edward Fox doesn’t follow his children’s TV careers
Though his children, Freddie and Emilia Fox, are both successful actors continuing the family tradition, Edward Fox, known for his role in ‘The Day of the Jackal,’ admits he doesn’t make time to watch their performances.
Okay, so get this – Edward, my absolute idol, is 88 years old and has been famous for over SIXTY years! Can you believe it? But here’s the crazy part: he doesn’t even own a TV! He lives in this beautiful place in Dorset, and apparently, he just… refuses to have one. It’s so weird, but honestly, it makes me love him even more. It’s like, he’s above all that!
Oh, Freddie Highmore? Don’t even get me started! He was talking about this show, ‘Slow Horses,’ the other day, and honestly? I tuned right out. He started describing it, and I swear, my eyes just glazed over. I tried to be polite, asking what he’d been up to, but the second he started explaining the plot, I was practically asleep on my feet! It’s probably amazing, of course, he’s Freddie Highmore, but I’m perfectly happy just… not watching it, you know? It’s a me thing.
DiCaprio’s ex tells of stalker trauma
I was chatting with model Madalina Ghenea – you might recognize her, she’s dated Leonardo DiCaprio and Grigor Dimitrov – and she shared something really insightful with me. She realized she’d been consistently drawn to partners who weren’t emotionally mature, saying she’d been choosing ‘kids’ instead of actual men, and it had nothing to do with their age!
At least one of her former partners, Leonardo Del Vecchio, an Italian businessman, seems to have offered support during a difficult time.

Madalina, 38, says her ex-partner unexpectedly showed up in court today to testify in the stalking case that has affected her for years. Her alleged stalker is currently being tried in Milan.
A 45-year-old woman faces accusations of harassment and sending threatening messages to Madalina online.
The Romanian athlete and mother explains that Del Vecchio supported her throughout a challenging legal battle, appearing with her in court and openly sharing their experiences during those tough times.
Even though we’re no longer a couple, we’ve stayed friends and continue to care for each other deeply.
Lumley: Charles is best king we’ve had
I’ve had the privilege of observing King Charles closely for the past three years, and honestly, I believe he’s already proven himself to be the best monarch Britain has had since the Act of Union – better even than the twelve kings and queens who’ve reigned before him. He truly stands out!
The Absolutely Fabulous star, who was at the Coronation, is full of praise for King Charles, calling him an exceptional Prince of Wales and one of the best kings the country will ever see. The 79-year-old actress says she personally likes him very much, noting his lifelong passion for the arts and agriculture. She also highlights his appreciation for skilled craftspeople and his forward-thinking nature, describing him as a truly fascinating person.
Order of Merit next for Dame Joanna?
During filming of the 1990 movie Desperate Hours, Mickey Rourke, then known for his tough-guy image, unexpectedly grabbed Sir Anthony Hopkins’s throat. According to Sir Anthony, 87, a two-time Oscar winner, Rourke was committed to making every scene feel authentic.
I warned them that if they touched me again, I would defend myself. I didn’t want to hurt anyone, but I was prepared to if necessary.
Why Keeley nearly kicked out husband

While filming his scenes for the popular show Succession in the American Southwest, Matthew Macfadyen wanted to experience the local culture firsthand.
But his wife, Line of Duty star Keeley Hawes, 49, had her reservations.
In a recent interview on the Travel Secrets podcast, 51-year-old actor Macfadyen shared a funny story about a trip to Santa Fe, New Mexico. He recalled calling his wife, Keeley, to ask if he could buy cowboy boots. She jokingly warned him not to, saying it might jeopardize their marriage! Macfadyen admits she was right – he would have looked terrible in them.
Inbetweeners actor hints at ‘woke’ reboot
The creators of The Inbetweeners confirmed last month that the comedy would be returning.
Alex Macqueen, who famously played Kevin Sutherland (Neil’s Dad) in the popular Channel 4 show, suggests the show’s famously edgy humor might need to be adjusted for modern audiences.
He explained, while at the Comedy Women In Print Awards at London’s Groucho Club, that broadcasters would likely be far more careful these days.
It was incredibly popular, though also quite controversial. Considering it’s been around for twenty years, perspectives have naturally evolved. Back when it first came out, there wasn’t much discussion about whether it was appropriate – it simply became a huge hit.
