Andrew Garfield looked nearly unrecognizable as he debuted a dramatic hairstyle change.

The 42-year-old actor looked noticeably different during a recent date with his girlfriend, actress Monica Barbaro.

I was so thrilled to see a photo Penn & Teller shared on Instagram! It showed them backstage with Barbaro, who’s 35, after their amazing show at the Rio Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas last weekend. It was a great glimpse behind the scenes!

He had grown out his hair, sporting a longer, messier style, and recently dyed it blonde after previously having a neat, dark brown quiff.

A few months ago, people began speculating that he’d had plastic surgery after noticing a change in his appearance while he was filming a movie.

Last summer, he began a hair transformation, revealing his natural curls after growing his hair longer than usual.

He was recently spotted with noticeably longer hair, almost reaching his chin, and was wearing a blue baseball cap over his naturally light blond hair. He was seen shortly after celebrating the new year.

Penn & Teller, the famous magician-comedian duo, shared on social media that Andrew Garfield and Monica Barbaro attended their show at the Rio in Las Vegas over the weekend.

He wore a mustard yellow fleece sweatshirt over a T-shirt and dark pants to see Penn & Teller’s famous Las Vegas show.

His girlfriend, a well-known actress nominated for an Academy Award and featured in films like A Complete Unknown and Top Gun: Maverick, was wearing a cream-colored blouse that was low-cut, with a scarf loosely draped around her neck.

She also appeared to get a new haircut, trading her long, dark hair for a straight, shoulder-length bob.

The photo showed the couple beaming as they stood beside the performers.

Garfield stood in between Penn and Teller and had his arms wrapped around their shoulders. 

The couple is nearing their one-year anniversary, as they first started dating in February 2025.

Early last year, the two were spotted at a play, and soon after, People magazine confirmed they were dating.

Okay, so everyone’s been wondering about these two, and it seems like things are definitely heating up! Back in February, there was some buzz about a possible connection, but now it’s pretty clear – they were seen holding hands and even sharing a kiss at Glastonbury Festival. Talk about a cute summer moment!

In July 2025, the couple made their relationship public at Wimbledon, where they were seen holding hands and wearing matching white outfits during a tennis match.

The next month, Garfield and Barbaro attended the Venice Film Festival together for the premiere of his latest movie, After the Hunt.

Garfield, the famous comic strip cat, has dated a number of women, including Kate Tomas, who works as a professional witch, actresses Shannon Woodward and Susie Abromeit, Oscar-winning actress Emma Stone, singer Rita Ora, and models Christine Gabel and Alyssa Miller.
