As a seasoned Star Wars enthusiast with over three decades of fandom under my belt, I must say that the anticipation for Andor Season 2 is palpable. With each passing day, the excitement levels are reaching new heights, especially after catching wind of its official release date at D23 in Sao Paulo – April 22, 2025.
Today at D23 in Sao Paulo, Brazil, excited Star Wars enthusiasts can’t wait to learn more about upcoming projects, particularly the second season of Andor. Set your calendars for April 22, 2025, as that’s when it will officially premiere.
It appears that Disney has apparently unveiled the release date for Andor Season 2 within their Disney+ app for US users. A keen-eyed fan noticed the date during navigation and posted a screenshot, sparking curiosity among fans as to why they can’t find it. Since Lucasfilm hasn’t made an official announcement yet, it’s possible that the reveal might happen later today during Lucasfilm’s D23 segment, where they may share more details about the upcoming season.
HUH?!?!?

Even though Andor Season 2 finished filming several months ago, it has been postponed due to a number of factors, such as the SAG-AFTRA strikes. Given its massive budget of around 250 million dollars, Lucasfilm is sensibly taking care in choosing the ideal time for release. On the other hand, Skeleton Crew will make its debut next month and run for about 8 weeks until January. Interestingly, the Star Wars Celebration is scheduled from April 18-20, 2025 – an excellent platform to unveil the series before its official launch, right before the event.

A Star Wars Story” featuring Diego Luna are returning for the second season of the series called “Andor“. Disney has unveiled some footage of this upcoming show at events like Star Wars Celebration 2023 and D23 Fan Expo in August, but an official trailer hasn’t been released online yet. Now, Disney is moving towards promoting another series titled “Skeleton Crew“. Since “Andor” is still 6 months away, it seems unlikely that any footage shown at today’s event will be made available for fans online soon. This means that those attending D23 this afternoon are in luck, but the rest of us will have to wait a few more months.
Andor Season 2 premieres next year on Disney+.
