On August 2nd’s official announcement from HBO Max, showrunner and director Michael Patrick King disclosed the news. He mentioned that the final episode of Season 3, divided into two parts, seemed ideal as it provided a “wonderful stopping point.
After the recent announcement, Sarah Jessica Parker, Cynthia Nixon, and Kristin Davis have each taken to their respective social media platforms to voice their reactions.
On Instagram, Parker wrote a heartfelt message expressing his deep affection: “For the past 27 years, Carrie Bradshaw has been the focus of my professional devotion. She’s held a special place in my heart that no one else can fill.
I’ve shared the same feelings for her as many others have – love, frustration, support, and cheering her on. These emotions have created a beautiful symphony that has been my constant companion throughout this journey. Consequently, I am deeply grateful to her and owe her a lifetime of appreciation.
The performer expressed gratitude to everyone involved, adding that he deeply cares for them and hopes they enjoy the last two episodes just as much as he and his team do.
In the meantime, Nixon, who played the passionate and self-reliant best friend of Carrie, Miranda Hobbes in “And Just Like That,” expressed: “I can’t believe our thrilling, beautiful journey on this show is nearing its end. It has been a genuine pleasure from beginning to end.
I’ll deeply cherish working alongside these individuals daily, and I firmly believe our lives will remain intertwined. Brace yourself for an influx of shared moments (carousels) in the upcoming weeks! Also, don’t forget to catch the final episodes – there are many exciting twists ahead!
