Jack Osbourne has announced that a movie about his father, Ozzy Osbourne, is in development, and they’ve found a fantastic actor to portray the rock legend. The family has been working on this biopic for several years and have now made their decision on who will play Ozzy.
Jack shared on Billy Morrison’s SiriusXM podcast, Influenced, that the movie is now fully moving into its next stage of production. He explained that it’s a traditional, acted film they’ve been working on with Sony for about six years.
Jack hasn’t revealed who will play his father yet, but he assures everyone it’s a fantastic casting choice.

We’ve made a decision on who we want for the role, but I can’t reveal it just yet. It’s going to be a truly amazing actor. We also have a director on board, and the script is currently being revised.
I was listening to a conversation with Morrison – he used to have a podcast with Ozzy and was actually friends with the guy – and he said he’d really enjoy seeing a movie made about Ozzy’s life. He thought it would be awesome.

Jack explained that the person wouldn’t care about the details. He’d only provide brief updates like, ‘We met with someone’ or ‘This is progressing,’ and the person would simply reply, ‘I don’t care about any of that—just let me know when it’s finished so I can check it out.’
I was really excited to hear Sharon Osbourne talking about the Ozzy biopic on Piers Morgan’s show! She said that getting the movie finished is her top priority right now, and that they actually have a deal in place and are already looking for people to help make it happen. It’s great news for all of us fans who’ve been waiting for Ozzy’s story to be told on the big screen!

Ozzy Osbourne, the iconic singer of Black Sabbath, passed away last year at the age of 76. His death came only weeks after a farewell concert with the band, aptly named “Back to the Beginning,” which took place at Villa Park in Birmingham.
I’m absolutely heartbroken to share the news that Ozzy Osbourne has passed away. His family just released a statement saying he died this morning, peacefully and surrounded by his loved ones. It’s such a devastating loss, and all they’re asking for right now is a little privacy as they grieve. I can’t even imagine how difficult this must be for them.
The latest issue of Living Legends is now available, and it’s dedicated to the incredible Dolly Parton! You can find “Dolly at 80” at newsagents and online for only £8.99.
