Amy Shark’s Acting Debut with Russell Crowe in Beast In Me Revealed!

Australian singing sensation Amy Shark is set to explore the world of acting in a forthcoming Stan Original Film entitled “Beast In Me.

38-year-old judge from Australian Idol will co-star with Russell Crowe, an iconic Australian actor, who reportedly personally chose Shark for the part.

In honor of its 10-year milestone, streaming service Stan offers a sneak peek at one of the fourteen new sports movies they’ve recently commissioned for viewers on their platform.

In the latest movie scenes, Amy Louise Billings, also known as Shark, was spotted inside an MMA ring.

As a devoted admirer, I find myself in the unique position of observing a powerful, emotionally charged scene unfolding between the accomplished artist who portrays Crowe’s daughter in our latest production, and the talented Daniel MacPherson, well-known for his role in Neighbours.

In another set of photos, Crowe, aged 60, is depicted in a thoughtful, work-focused state at a fitness center. On the other hand, MacPherson, who is 44, can be seen engaged in a grueling and gory MMA battle in various images.

As a devoted admirer, I’d like to highlight that in “Beast In Me,” I find myself captivated by the presence of Russell Crowe, Nicola MacPherson, and the enigmatic Shark – noteworthy, as this is Shark’s debut acting role. Additionally, the Aussie heartthrob, Luke Hemsworth, graces our screens alongside them.

The Stan Original Movie chronicles the life of Patton James, played by MacPherson, a committed family man and ex-mixed martial artist, who made a promise to abandon his combat sports background.

In a situation where his brother sustains serious injuries and there’s a mounting pressure due to financial concerns, Patton finds himself compelled to return to training.

The clip will be financed with the help of Screen NSW through the Made in NSW Fund.

10 years ago, Stan premiered its content lineup for the first time during a special Showcase event that took place at Linseed House in Sydney, and this year marks their 10-year anniversary.

Dan Taylor, our Managing Director, stated: “In a swiftly changing and highly competitive environment, Stan has solidified its position as one of the most thriving single-region streaming video on demand services globally.

We offer our subscribers an exceptional blend of premium originals like Black Snow and Thou Shalt Not Steal, which have won praise from both critics and viewers, as well as globally acclaimed shows such as Yellowstone, Hacks, and Twisted Metal. ‘We look forward to the next decade of screen storytelling on Stan.’

The announcement came out later in the month that Shark was selected for Crowe’s latest movie, which is being directed by Tyler Atkins.

The singer-songwriter revealed the news on Instagram, as they were filming in Thailand.

Shark posted a picture of herself, wearing all black and sporting a baseball hat, alongside the top-secret script for the film. The script was marked ‘confidential’.

‘Bangkok for the next week to become a movie star,’ she wrote.

‘I’m in Bangkok for a week, filming my very first movie, like real movie I guess.

‘I have a lot to share about this topic, so let me gather my thoughts and give you all the details later. There are many aspects to discuss.’

Back in September, I couldn’t help but get excited when Variety announced that I, along with the talented David Frigerio, would be co-writing the script for this highly anticipated US-produced film. Not only am I involved in crafting the story, but it turns out that I’m also producing this movie – a dream come true for any fan like me!

The information disclosed indicates that the movie is set within the intensely competitive and ruthless milieu of Mixed Martial Arts, with Crowe taking on the role of a seasoned coach.

The actor assists MacPherson’s character in regaining physical fitness, preparing for a crucial match at the top-tier MMA tournament, One Championship.

According to Variety, One Championship, a prominent combat sports promotion, is backing the film.

The support they provide encompasses enabling the film crew to capture fight sequences during an occasion that took place in Bangkok last month.
