On a recent Friday, Amy Schumer posted on Instagram about her journey with the diabetes and weight loss medication Mounjaro.

Addressing her 12.7 million fans on social media, the comedienne aged 43 – who recently attended a Love Rocks charity event – endorsed the brand, stating it has surpassed its rival Wegovy in effectiveness for her. Earlier this year, she disclosed that another drug, Ozempic, did not suit her wellness needs.

Three years ago, I attempted Wegovy, as stated in a social media video. However, I ended up vomiting and found it too intense for me. Whether they’ve altered the formula or not, I’m not sure. Regardless, I participated in an online consultation with Midi Health recently, and I found it affordable. Since I wanted to endorse it to my friends who are nurses and teachers, I decided to give it a try myself.

She shared that the virtual healthcare clinic prescribed estrogen and progesterone for her, as she recognized she was going through perimenopause. Since then, the symptoms associated with her perimenopausal phase have vanished.

Schumer commented, ‘My hair looks thicker, my complexion has improved, I’ve got more vitality, I feel like dancing – if you catch my drift. Essentially, I’m referring to an enhancement in my intimacy, and let me tell you, it’s been fantastic, and the same goes for Mounjaro.’

The star playfully commented, “Oh, and just for clarity, this particular star isn’t typically insured unless one has diabetes or extreme obesity – a misconception many on the internet seem to believe applies to me.

‘But I’m having a really good experience with it and I wanted to keep it real with you about that.’

Schumer had to stop the once-weekly injection after suffering from extreme nausea and vomiting.

The mother explained that she has a particular gene, specifically GDF15, which significantly increases susceptibility to feeling very ill or queasy, and this is likely why she experienced severe sickness during her pregnancy.

She remarked, “I shed 30 pounds so swiftly. I looked fantastic, but I was unable to raise my head from the pillow, so why bother?

On a Friday note, Amy revealed they’re putting up their expensive Brooklyn residence for sale, along with her spouse.

Through Instagram posts, she titled her pictures as “Brooklyn Heights – Two Parking Spots, Backyard, Four Bedrooms… Situated just a stone’s throw away from Brooklyn Bridge Park and boasting proximity to numerous schools. The upcoming move will be bittersweet, as she cherishes the three years spent here immensely. It has been quite safe and beautiful.

In her latest Story update, she emphasized that they’re planning to part ways with their apartment after three wonderful years in Brooklyn Heights, expressing her deep affection for the area as ‘heavenly’.
