Amy Schumer flaunts thinner-than-ever figure in a swimsuit after using GLP-1 to lose 50lbs

Amy Schumer showed off her weight loss, looking slimmer in a swimsuit photo she shared on Instagram after losing 50 pounds.

The comedian, 44, posted a mirror selfie to her Instagram stories on Tuesday. She’s previously discussed using GLP-1 medication to help with her weight loss.

The actress from Trainwreck wore a red swimsuit with a low-cut front and styled her blonde hair in a neat bun.

Schumer opted for minimal accessories and completed the look with a pair of stylish shades.

She playfully captioned the photo with: ‘Is that enough for you?’

The celebrity has been open about using Mounjaro to help with weight loss, sharing that they had a negative experience with Ozempic previously.

In a 2025 interview with Howard Stern on SiriusXM, she explained why she decided to start using Mounjaro.

I carry a gene called GDF15 that makes people very susceptible to feeling nauseous, and that’s why I experienced such severe morning sickness when I was pregnant.

Schumer continued, ‘So, I tried Ozempic almost three years ago and I was like bedridden. 

I felt really sick, like I was throwing up, and it completely drained my energy. It’s strange because others seem to handle it just fine, which is great for them.

The comedian recalled feeling like she was ‘shriveling away’ due to being nauseous. 

Schumer said she lost thirty pounds very quickly and, while she looked good, she was too weak to even lift her head. She questioned what the benefit of looking good was if she felt so terrible.

She also mentioned last year, in a now-deleted Instagram post, that she was responding well to Mounjaro.

The actress said she felt nauseous and overwhelmed while using Ozempic, and wasn’t sure if the medication had been altered.

The star then added that switching over to Mounjaro has ‘been great.’ 

In December of last year, Schumer shared an update about her weight loss, correcting earlier reports that she’d lost 30 pounds – she actually lost 50.

She shared on Instagram that she’d actually lost 50 pounds, not 30. She clarified it wasn’t just to look good, although she admitted feeling good was a nice bonus.

Okay, so she finally talked about it! My queen said she basically had to lose weight just to get through everything, and it turns out she’s been dealing with a serious health issue. I’m so proud of her for being so open about it, it’s just… heartbreaking, honestly. I’m sending her all my love and hoping she knows how much we all support her!

I was diagnosed with a serious and potentially fatal illness that caused severe facial swelling, but it was identified thanks to online resources, and I’ve now fully recovered.

In 2024, Schumer shared that she was diagnosed with Cushing syndrome, a rare condition caused by prolonged high levels of the hormone cortisol, according to the Mayo Clinic.

She apologized if her weight loss, achieved through using the medication Mounjaro, upset anyone, and expressed regret if she disappointed anyone.

In 2022, the actress shared that she had liposuction following surgery for endometriosis, as well as the removal of her appendix and uterus.

Schumer has showcased her slimmer figure on social media in several posts on Instagram. 

I was so struck by what she wrote last month. She really hit the nail on the head when she said that posting photos of yourself when you’re genuinely feeling good – strong and beautiful – isn’t a sign you’re struggling. It’s just celebrating yourself, and that’s a really important distinction!

‘They are a celebration of life and health. Love to the single moms out there,’ the star added. 

That same month, she shared another post featuring a video of herself diving into the ocean while wearing a red bikini.

Last December, Schumer publicly revealed she and Chris Fischer were separating after being married for seven years.

She announced the news on social media, saying they had mutually decided to separate after a difficult decision, but stressed that they remained on good terms.

The comedian shared a photo of herself with Chris on the New York City subway and announced their decision to divorce after seven years in the caption.

We deeply care for each other and are committed to being great parents to our son. We ask for privacy as we navigate this time.

Schumer jokingly explained her feelings weren’t about her weight loss or the chef’s attractiveness, but rather a genuine expression of continued affection and respect. She emphasized they remain a family and are on good terms.

The actress and Fischer got married in a romantic Malibu ceremony in February 2018, with around 80 guests, including Jennifer Lawrence. They had previously agreed to a prenuptial agreement.

The following year, the pair welcomed their son Gene in 2019 – who will turn seven in May. 

A month before news of their breakup became public, a source revealed to the Daily Mail that Schumer had definitely decided to divorce Fischer.

A close friend of the actress says Amy is definitely divorcing. They shared that she’s lost weight and seems to have moved on from the relationship.

Chris spends most of their time away from home now, having put two properties up for sale – one in Brooklyn and another in New Orleans.

My friend said she removed Chris from her Instagram and then deleted all of her posts. She’s planning to file for divorce, but she’s made up her mind – it’s over.

The last time Schumer and Fischer were photographed together publicly was at the premiere of Room To Move in June 2025.
