Amy Adams starts to turn into a dog in first trailer for new movie

As a longtime fan who has followed Amy Adams’ illustrious career since her days on “Enchanted” and “The Office,” I must say, her latest project, “Nightbitch,” has left me utterly spellbound! The trailer alone is a testament to Adams’ versatility as an actress, and I can’t wait to see her embody this unique and intriguing character.

In the initial teaser for Amy Adams’ upcoming film titled “Nightbitch“, it is revealed that the actress, renowned for her role as the “Man of Steel”, starts undergoing a transformation into a canine.

According to Rachel Yoder’s 2021 novel, the forthcoming film features Adams in the part of a suburban mom who experiences an extraordinary change.

In this blend of terror and humor, Amy Adams once again teams up with her former Batman v Superman cast member, Scoot McNairy, playing the role of her screen spouse.

Alongside Mary Holland, Zoƫ Chao, Jessica Harper, Darius De La Cruiz, Archana Rajan, Ella Thomas, Stacey Swift, Adrienne Rose White, and Roslyn Gentle, they are also part of the cast.

Under the guidance of director Marielle Heller, the film titled “Nightbitch” follows the journey of a mother who temporarily halts her artistic pursuits to focus on caring for her young child and spouse.

Strange events unfold as her maternal feelings transform into a dog-like state during the night, causing Adams’ character to undergo a canine metamorphosis.

The trailer indicates that Adams initially experiences growing discontentment with her life as a homemaker and recalls happier times spent with a circle of friends when they weren’t mothers yet.

She begins to grow sharp teeth and “fuzzy” hair on her body and magically turns into a dog.

“Motherhood changes you. It connects you to some primal urges,” one character tells the mother.

In the sneak peek, it seems like I’ve started acting a bit dog-like – chowing down food like a wolf, digging up the yard like a true terrier, and roaming the neighborhood in a canine posse. It’s quite an unusual turn for me, but hey, who knows, maybe I’ll grow to enjoy it!

In one notable scene from the trailer, Adams admits to a group of mothers that she thinks she is turning into a dog and they all laugh at the confession.

“I am a woman,” she says as the trailer concludes. “I am an animal. I am Nightbitch.”

Nighbitch will be released in cinemas on December 6.
