Amy Adams says Nightbitch highlights something that isn’t “talked about”
As a fan who has seen my fair share of Amy Adams’ remarkable performances, I must say that her latest role in “Nightbitch” is nothing short of extraordinary. This black comedy/horror film takes a unique and relatable approach to motherhood, making it a must-watch for anyone who has ever experienced the joys, struggles, and occasional surreal moments of parenthood.
In the black comedy/horseplay titled “Nightbitch“, Amy Adams reappears on our screens, showcasing an unusual perspective of motherhood.
As a gamer, I’d say: “Ever since diving into the world of Rachel Yoder’s book, I’ve found myself immersed in the shoes of Adams’ character, Mother. She decides to put her career on hold and embrace motherhood full-time, but things take an unusual twist when she starts undergoing a bizarre transformation – turning into a canine!
As a devoted admirer, I found myself utterly captivated by “Nightbitch,” a film directed by Marielle Heller. What makes this piece truly extraordinary is its unique portrayal of motherhood – aspects never before depicted on screen, making it strikingly relatable for those who have experienced the movie firsthand.
She shared that individuals feel understood, as if the portrayal resonates with a seldom-discussed reality, according to Digital Spy.
It’s comforting to know that many intricate feelings and thoughts hidden within us are resonating with them.
Before the film even reached her, Adams found herself resonating strongly with the original book’s distinctive perspective on motherhood.
She went on to share her emotions regarding her husband and their relationship journey, which resonated strongly with me because I could relate to it too.
“The bigger picture of parenthood as well as the feelings that the loss of identities bring up in you. This sort of feral rage towards your partner, I know that. I mean, my husband is lovely, but still.”
Furthermore, just like Adams found resonance with the themes presented in Nightbitch, working on the film might influence her professional trajectory moving forward.
She mused, “It seems to have sparked a kind of liberty I’m eager to delve into within my projects.
Since then, I’ve worked on two different projects, and I believe the knowledge and personal growth I’ve gained from this experience have significantly contributed to my performance. I hope these improvements are evident and positively received in those roles.
After her starring role in “Nightbitch”, Adams has just secured her next major film part in the comedic production based on truth, titled “Lazy Susans”. Notably, she is also involved in its production.
Nightbitch is released in cinemas on December 6.
