As a gamer with a soft spot for quirky comedies and a deep appreciation for Amy Adams‘ versatile acting skills, I am genuinely thrilled about her upcoming role in “Lazy Susans.” The idea of a group of mums turning into a rock band sounds like an entertaining blend of humor and relatability that could resonate with many.
Amy Adams has landed her next role as the lead in a new comedy movie.
The screenplay for “Lazy Susans” was penned by Annie Mumolo, known for her work in “Bridesmaids,” and Stan Chervin, renowned from “Moneyball.” This movie will narrate the story of a group of mothers who come together to create a rock band.
As reported by Deadline, the movie draws inspiration from the true tale of The Lazy Susans, a Boston-born collective that came together during the COVID-19 pandemic.

In addition to acting in the upcoming comedy, Adam teamed up with Stacy O’Neil for its production via their company, Bond Group Entertainment. Specifics about the storyline, actors, and director are still under wraps.
In the meantime, the upcoming film titled “Nightbitch,” set to be released in December, has unveiled its initial trailer. This movie, adapted from Rachel Yoder’s 2021 novel, features Adams as a suburban mother experiencing an extraordinary metamorphosis.
This horror-comedy story centers around a woman, once an artist, who now spends most of her time caring for her toddler and husband. As exhaustion sets in, she begins observing peculiar changes in herself, such as her unusually pointed teeth and growing fuzziness in her hair.

In the evenings, Adam’s personality undergoes a change as she metamorphoses into a canine. Subsequently, she embarks on a quest to control her aggressive instincts that surface when she is in this animal form.
The preview depicts Adams exhibiting aggressive eating habits with her dog, digging up the yard, and wandering the neighborhood accompanied by a group of canines, displaying a strong affinity for canine behavior.
The film Nightbitch, helmed by Marielle Heller, features a star-studded cast that includes Scoot McNairy, Mary Holland, Zoë Chao, Jessica Harper, Darius De La Cruiz, Archana Rajan, Ella Thomas, Stacey Swift, Adrienne Rose White, and Roslyn Gentle.
Nightbitch will be released in cinemas on December 6.
