This incredible platform, now accessible on Android and iOS devices, is bringing back some of the best games from Toaplan, a legendary developer that left an indelible mark on the shoot ’em up genre. Classics like the original Truxton are making a comeback, offering us a chance to relive the glory days of arcade gaming!

The Amusement Arcade titled “Toaplan” is a platform where you can replay classic games by Toaplan, an influential arcade game developer from the ’80s and ’90s in Japan, while also customizing and expanding your own virtual arcade with machines, drink vending machines, sofas, and other amenities. For those not familiar, Toaplan is a renowned name in the world of arcade gaming, particularly for its significant impact on the shoot ‘em up genre.

I’m thrilled about this because it revives my fondness for classic games, offering 25 timeless titles from Toaplan, ranging from shoot ’em ups to platform action, racing, and beat ’em ups. It’s a massive advantage that it offers both the Japanese and international versions of these games.

In addition, the games offer adjustable touch screen controls and compatibility with external controllers such as Bluetooth arcade joysticks, creating a genuine arcade atmosphere.
