Another random collab from Stardew Valley dev
Eric Barone, the creator of Stardew Valley and known online as ConcernedApe, has collaborated with other games before. A recent example is the partnership with Infinity Nikki, which received a negative reaction from many fans.
Honestly, I don’t think ConcernedApe did anything wrong here. The timing of the Infinity Nikki collab just sucked because Papergames was already getting a ton of heat for how they were running that game. A lot of us fans felt like they were using Stardew Valley – and me, as a player – as a way to distract from their own problems, like a PR stunt. But Eric Barone, the creator of Stardew Valley, actually responded and said he didn’t make any money from the collab. He just thought it would be something players would enjoy, which is cool to hear.
The collaboration between Among Us and Stardew Valley is unique. Fans of both games seem equally thrilled, and some are even saying they’ll revisit Among Us specifically to experience the event.
