America’s favorite frilly-haired villain on frontier drama is rocking blue nails on LA run…can you guess who?
In the 1970s, she gained widespread recognition for portraying one of TV’s most famous bratty blonde characters – a girl in petticoats who bullied others, had bouncy hair, and had a quick wit with her words.
For almost ten years, she consistently made sharp comments and devised cunning plots against her on-screen peers in a cherished frontier-set TV series that captivated audiences nationwide.
Although her fellow actors were typically portrayed as embodiments of kindness and Christian virtues, her character was far from such ideals – and viewers found themselves captivated by this contrast.
After leaving her iconic role in the early ’80s, the actress has explored comedy, poetry, and activism, never shying away from her enduring status as television’s first “mean girl.
Currently, she usually maintains a somewhat subdued public presence, appearing sporadically at fan gatherings or television programs focused on the past.
However, just a few days ago, she was seen relishing a quiet afternoon in sun-kissed Los Angeles, taking care of various tasks in the fashionable Westwood area.
Can you guess who it is?

It’s Alison Arngrim!
In a relatively uncommon outing, the woman renowned for her role as Nellie Oleson in Little House on the Prairie was spotted at a residential complex, staying there for more than an hour.
Her appearance was lively and joyful, wearing a striped white-and-blue blouse, loose jeans, and red athletic shoes. To complete the look, she had vibrant blue nail polish which gave an extra touch of style.
The excursion takes place as there’s been fresh enthusiasm for the original show, sparked by Netflix announcing a revival of ‘Little House on the Prairie’, which will present the Ingalls family tale to a modern audience.

But don’t expect to see any familiar faces in the new version – at least not yet.
In a January interview with ReMIND, Arngrim clarified that, to the best of his knowledge, none of us from our group are involved in the project at this stage, which unfortunately may mean no appearances by the original cast.
Originating from New York City, Arngrim stepped into the limelight at the tender age of 12 when she debuted on the popular series in 1974. Her performance as Nellie, characterized by her radiant curls and mischievous smile, soon set her apart from the rest.

For nearly seven seasons, the show ran up until 1983, but following this, she parted ways with it. Yet, her connection to the character has endured for many decades.
Throughout her career, she’s been open about the hurdles faced as a young actor, her struggles with health issues, and her dedication to raising awareness on topics like AIDS and child abuse prevention.
As a devoted admirer, I’ve found myself captivated by Arngrim’s embrace of her renowned status within the cult-like following, all delivered with an infectious sense of humor. In 2010, she even penned a memoir, humorously titled “Confessions of a Prairie Bitch.
I faithfully participate in fan conventions and frequently join retro television panels, consistently bringing joy to long-time fans who remember my cunning antics from the good old days in Walnut Grove.
