American Pickers star Mike Wolfe forced to close Antique Archaeology store months after co-star’s death

As a dedicated follower of American Pickers, I must say that watching Mike Wolfe navigate through the ups and downs of his professional and personal life is both captivating and heartwarming. The temporary closure of one of his antique stores due to construction issues is just another hurdle he has to overcome, much like the countless number of unique items he unearths during his adventures.

Last week, the antique store run by Mike Wolfe, host of American Pickers, had to briefly close due to an unforeseen circumstance.

The longtime figure on the History Channel manages two antiquity stores, with locations in Le Claire, Iowa and Nashville.

After encountering construction issues, the Tennessee location was suddenly closed on November 26.

As reported by The Express, it was stated on an Instagram post that the Nashville store is temporarily shut down because of certain construction problems.

The message went on to say, ‘We’ll let you know as soon as we reopen. We sincerely apologize for any trouble this may have caused and can’t wait to welcome you back soon!’

On the day after, specifically November 27, the store managed to resume operations, coincidentally marking the date when he went to check out his Iowa branch to promote their Black Friday deal.

He showed off to his followers an unusual and fascinating collection which included a Santa Claus costume, mugs, t-shirts, coasters, and hats.

As Wolf grieves over the passing of his American Pickers partner Frank Fritz, who sadly left us on October 1st, exactly two months ago.

Frank, who was 60 years old, passed away, as confirmed by his relatives. This sad event transpired about two years following a severe stroke that occurred in October 2022.

Despite Fritz stating in 2022 that he hadn’t talked to Wolfe for two years, it turned out after his passing that they had actually reconciled a year prior.

Fritz’s health had been in decline since he left the TV show in 2021.

It’s quite difficult to share this news, but sadly, Frank passed away last night at approximately 7:30, as stated by his family.

On Fritz’s Facebook post, it was written that ‘Mike Wolfe hurriedly returned from Nashville and some other friends came too.’

I’ve been through my fair share of tough times, and let me tell you, we’re currently navigating one of the roughest patches yet. It’s not just me, but our dear friend Mike too. So, please bear with us as we struggle to find our footing amidst this chaos. We deeply appreciate your love and support throughout our journey, which has been a beacon of hope in these challenging times. Thank you all for standing by us during the ups and downs over the years.

Additionally, Wolfe verified Frank’s passing, expressing on Instagram, “With a heavy heart, I inform everyone that Frank left us last night.

He reminisced about his cherished friend, saying, “I’ve known Frank for more than half my lifetime, and what you might think you see on TV is exactly what I’ve always seen. A dreamer with a heart as tender as he was humorous. On-screen or off-, Frank had the unique ability to touch so many hearts simply by being himself.

Elsewhere in the heartfelt post, he added, ‘Who would have ever dreamed we would share the cockpit of a white cargo van in front of millions of people interested in our adventures.

Before the performance, we’d embark on adventures to unknown locations without a specific goal, driven solely by our mutual curiosity and fascination for uncovering something fascinating and historically significant.

Over the years, we’ve embarked on numerous journeys together, covering countless miles. It’s a blessing to have been with him during his final voyage home. My friend, my heart is filled with love for you, and I will miss you dearly. I believe you’re now in a peaceful place.

The History Channel premiered “American Pickers” back in January 2010, focusing on the adventures of Wolfe and Fritz as they journeyed across America, collecting treasures for their antique store based in Iowa.
