American actor, 65, is unrecognisable three decades after breakthrough role as he attends Superman premiere in LA – but can YOU guess who it is?
At the Los Angeles premiere of Superman at the TCL Chinese Theatre on Monday, one of Hollywood’s top character actors appeared nearly unidentifiable.
The actor, aged 65, known for his significant performances during the 1990s and awarded an Emmy in 1997, exuded elegance in a smart dark grey suit upon his arrival at the red carpet event.
In a somewhat unusual style, he wore a blue floral-patterned tie, complementing it with a beige fedora hat and a pair of transparent spectacles.
To finish off his ensemble, the actor put on a well-pressed white dress shirt under his sharp business suit, and wore stylish brown leather brogue shoes.
With an infectious enthusiasm, he gleamed before the cameras, striking numerous poses with vigor on the red carpet.
But do you recognise him?

That’s right, it’s Pruitt Taylor Vince from the 1988 action movie Red Heat!
In the action/crime film that also starred Arnold Schwarzenegger, Jim Belushi, Laurence Fishburne, and Gina Gershon, the actor took on the role of the night clerk.
The film centers around Ivan Danko (Arnold) and detective Art Ridzik (Jim), who team up in their mission to apprehend the elusive and lethal Georgian drug lord, Viktor Rostavili (Ed O’Ross). This villain is responsible for the death of Danko’s former partner.
Pruitt is typically categorized as a character actor and first appeared on the big screen in the 1987 film, Angel Heart, playing a supporting part.
Following appearances as a secondary character in films like Mississippi Burning, Jacob’s Ladder, Natural Born Killers, and Lee Bowers in the political thriller JFK, Pruitt garnered recognition through leading roles in the movies Heavy and Beautiful Girls.
In season 2 of the ABC legal drama TV show Murder One, he made a significant debut playing Clifford Banks, a role that eventually won him the Primetime Emmy Award for Exceptional Performance by a Guest Actor in a Drama Series.
After appearing in the TV series, Vince went on to take leading roles in the films “The Legend of 1900” and “Mumford”.
In the 2000s decade, he took on leading roles in several films, including Nurse Betty, Simone, Trapped, Identity, Constantine, and Captivity.

He also had a recurring role as Mose Manuel on the HBO western series, Deadwood from 2005 to 2006.
In the following years, Pruitt made appearances in films such as Flypaper, 13 Sins, The Devil’s Candy, and Bird Box.
Simultaneously, he frequently appeared on television shows such as The Mentalist (on CBS) where he played J.J. LaRoche, NBC’s Heroes Reborn featuring him as Casper Abraham, and Grill in ABC’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., a superhero series.
Currently, Pruitt is playing a secondary character, Jonathan Kent, in the latest Superman film featuring David Corenswet, Nicholas Hoult, Milly Alcock, and Isabela Merced.
And just last year, he starred as Bob Bauer in the Apple TV+ miniseries Lady in the Lake.
