Amazing Race Australia team booted from show following ‘offensive and disturbing’ hotel incident

Controversy has erupted on The Amazing Race, as a team has been disqualified from Channel Ten’s show due to allegations of inappropriate behavior, including intimidation and offensive language.

Luke and Sassy Scott O’Halloran claim that Dan Middleton, Ant Middleton’s brother, hurled derogatory remarks directed at their sexual orientation while they were competing together.

After the disagreement, the hosts of SAS Australia and his sibling were dismissed due to violating the program’s ethical guidelines.

Luke, aged 34, and Scott, aged 39, disclosed that the difficulties arose for them during a leisure day at their hotel while taking a break from filming.

As a devoted admirer putting this into my own words, let me share an encounter that left me feeling uneasy: Six times, Dan Middleton came our way, his words and actions struck me as homophobic, offensive, intimidating, and unsettling. This is my recollection of the events, shared with Sydney Confidential.

Each visit from Dan seemed progressively more confrontational.

or

With every encounter with Dan, it grew more hostile.

or

Every time Dan dropped by, the interactions became increasingly hostile.

or

The meetings with Dan got progressively more contentious each time he came over.

Each of these sentences conveys the same meaning while presenting the information in a slightly different way.

At a certain moment, he was quite close, even among several other actors, giving off an awkward vibe that mirrored ours.

According to the O’Hallorans, AFL star Brendan Fevola tried to de-escalate the conflict by positioning himself physically between the social media personalities and Dan.

‘He did [that] more than once,’ they said.

Reports of the incident first emerged in April.

It appears that while Ant Middleton didn’t participate in the action leading to disqualification, he himself was disqualified together with his brother.

At that point, it was said that Fevola presented a challenging situation to the producers: either dismiss the Middleton brothers, or both he and his daughter Leni would leave.

Shortly after, Ant and Dan were sent home and cut from the series.

As a lifestyle expert, I’d rephrase that statement like this: “I regret to inform you that, unfortunately, a team has found itself out of the competition due to an infraction against our established code of conduct.

The spokesperson stated that Network 10 places great importance on the health, safety, and overall welfare of all participants.

According to a spokesperson, Network 10 prioritizes the health, safety, and well-being of everyone involved in the contests.

During the filming of The Amazing Race Australia, a competitor violated the show’s code of conduct during their free time. Consequently, the entire team was disqualified and asked to leave immediately.

On Tuesday’s broadcast, the host, Beau Ryan, informed audiences that ‘Ant and Dan were taken out of the competition earlier due to a violation of the rules of conduct.’

Rising to fame on TikTok, the O’Halloran brothers now host The Luke and Sassy Scott Podcast.

They’ve also taken their double-act on the road with a series of live shows across Australia.
