Amanda Holden’s Heartbreaking Mother’s Day Tribute to Her Stillborn Son

Amanda Holden expressed a heartfelt message honoring her stillborn child, Theo, on this Mother’s Day, extending comfort and well-wishes to families who have also experienced the loss of their little ones.

53-year-old radio host shared a touching tribute on Instagram to her son, who was sadly stillborn at seven months back in 2011.

She labeled the lovely photo: ‘Happy Mother’s Day! I feel incredibly fortunate to be surrounded by my daughters. Our dear son Theo is never far from our thoughts #theo.’

Amanda also took to her Instagram Stories to share a snap with her own mother, Judith.

Amanda’s touching post comes just weeks after she saw the 14th anniversary of her son’s death.

In February, she took to Instagram and wrote: ‘Our beautiful boy would have been 14 today’.

In the past, Amanda has openly shared her own experiences with the intention of offering support to parents who might be facing similar challenges.

In the year 2011, Amanda was nearly eight months along in her pregnancy with Theo. A standard ultrasound discovered that his heart had ceased to beat.

After their son Theo’s passing, the TV celebrity and her spouse Chris ultimately chose to undergo a cesarean section.

In the previous year, Amanda penned an emotional tribute to Theo, saying: ‘If you were still with us, today you would have turned into a teenager… #Theo’

In September 2022, Amanda shared that she felt like a contestant on a game show when a physician informed her she would be leaving the hospital without her baby following her stillbirth.

The speaker collaborated with the infant bereavement organization, Aching Arms, and collected funds for them while participating in a fundraising event known as the 3 Peaks Challenge.

During her Heart Breakfast show, Amanda discussed her distressing encounter with Ross Sullivan, a user of Aching Arms, and expressed her desire for the charity to assist others in avoiding similar hurtful language as she experienced.

she mentioned: “I’ll always remember the time I encountered something akin to what you experienced.

Due to the unfortunate loss of our son Theo at 28 weeks, the staff compassionately transferred me to a separate room, enabling me to give birth without being disturbed by the cries of other newborns in the regular nursery.

Frequently, such small details are overlooked, but they can make a big difference. After our conversation, I recall her saying something like, “You’re leaving without anything,” when we parted ways.

‘I felt like a participant in a game show, given the circumstances. This is the kind of language that the charity aims to help people steer clear of and educate them on how to handle such distressing situations more effectively. Indeed, it’s truly unfortunate.’

On her radio show during Nurse’s Day, Amanda additionally talked about Theo’s passing, expressing her gratitude towards nurses by saying, “I genuinely appreciate the work that nurses do.

‘I know I talk about this a lot. And I never know whether I talk too much about it.

Undeniably, when our beloved son Theo was taken from us through a stillbirth, the care and compassion shown by the hospital staff were nothing short of extraordinary.

‘Jacki Nash got me through so much, Pippa Nightingale and Natalie Carter.’
