Amanda Holden reveals she's 'completely covered in bum butter' ahead of mammoth cycling challenge from Cornwall to London

As a lifestyle expert with years of experience under my belt, I must commend Amanda Holden for her relentless spirit and determination to take on yet another grueling challenge. Her upcoming 250-mile bike ride from Cornwall to London is not just a testament to her physical fitness, but also a powerful demonstration of her unwavering dedication to charity work.

Amanda Holden shared that she is thoroughly coated with a special cream, often referred to as “bum butter,” before embarking on her extensive bicycle journey from Cornwall to London.

On Monday, the Heart Breakfast show host, who is 53 years old, will commence her 250-mile cycling endeavor, spending approximately six hours daily pedaling along the way.

On Sunday, she confessed that she has a plentiful supply of “seat cream” for preventing saddle sores because all her friends have been sending it to her.

Amanda playfully remarked that she aims to be as fit as Davina McCall by the week’s end since she’s burning approximately 15,000 calories daily.

In a conversation with The Sun’s Unusual section, the radio host shared: ‘I regularly use cushioned inserts and butt cream, which is simply part of my routine. I had no idea about butt cream before, but now I have so many different types of it.’

She stated: ‘We estimate we’re consuming around 15,000 calories daily. Due to a Saganaki-induced belly from my vacation in Corfu, I’m embarking on this journey for charity and weight loss purposes. By the time I return, I aspire to resemble Davina McCall, being lean and toned.’

Amanda said she’s ‘had her feet up’ over the week in preparation for the challenge.

She chuckled as she mentioned, ‘My tired little feet have been pampered with a pedicure, all set for an adventure. At the end of each day, they’ll immerse in a bucket filled with icy water, while I enjoy a refreshing mojito.’

She is set to cycle over 250 miles in a bid to raise funds for Global’s Make Some Noise.

Preparing myself for the recent radio broadcast, I opted for an unconventional workout routine – pedaling an exercise bike while sporting my high-heeled stilettos and maintaining a chic ensemble.

Earlier, the ITV celebrity expressed her preference for having a front-mounted basket on her bicycle during her cycling journey, since she intends to gather some snacks en route to sustain her energy levels.

She mentioned that she needs a shopper (basket) and a gel saddle, as she plans to stop for some snacks at the local Spar in Bude during her journey.

Amanda went on to say: “I’ll require some snacks to keep up my energy levels. However, while I’m at it, I notice that my thighs are rubbing against my belly fat. So, in a way, I can work on toning that area by using my own legs for massage!

Over the course of five challenging days, I’ll embark on a journey by bike, starting at Bude, Cornwall and pedaling all the way to Heart Studios in Leicester Square. Each day, I’m expecting to log approximately six hours on my bicycle, covering more than 250 miles in total.

Starting on October 7th, she plans to embark on her journey in Cornwall, then pedal her way through Somerset, Berkshire, Wiltshire, and eventually Surrey. Her destination is the Heart HQ located in London’s Leicester Square, which she aims to reach by October 11th.

Amanda has faced difficult tasks before, such as completing the Three Peaks Challenge, jumping from a height of 10,000 feet in a skydive, and scaling the heights of Blackpool Tower to raise funds for Global’s Make Some Noise campaign.

In fact, Amanda’s upcoming commute by bike is set to be the most extensive and enduring cycle trip she has ever embarked on.
