Amanda Holden, 55, turns heads in a brunette wig and glasses as she goes undercover in Tesco supermarket for a VERY cheeky advert

Amanda Holden looked unrecognisable as she went undercover for a hilarious Tesco advert on Friday. 

The 55-year-old TV presenter tried to go unnoticed by dressing as a Tesco employee. She wore a dark brown wig with a side part, clear glasses, and a Tesco uniform to blend in with the staff.

The celebrity appears in a promotional video where she’s shown assisting customers, playfully interacting throughout the store, marking down prices, operating cash registers, and conversing with shoppers who don’t recognize her.

As the performance finished, Amanda left the shop and quickly removed her disguise. A surprised onlooker exclaimed, ‘It’s Amanda Holden!’

Amanda addressed the camera, saying, ‘Hi, it’s me! I’m with Tesco, here to help you find everything you need.’ She then playfully threw her wig up in the air and added, ‘See you next time I’m working!’

This follows Amanda amusing viewers with a playful revelation about her intimate life, which she shared with her close friend, Alan Carr, age 49.

A resurfaced clip from Amanda and Alan’s Italian Job shows the television personality playfully claiming she is ‘very good’ in the bedroom.

The Britain’s Got Talent judge and the comedian paused their renovation work on their Italian home to test out one of the beds, and Alan used the moment to playfully ask Amanda about how she sleeps.

He started to ask what she was like in bed, beginning with, ‘Do you move a lot…’ but Amanda playfully interrupted, saying, ‘I’m brilliant, apparently!’

I absolutely loved watching her reaction when the Chatty Man started cracking up! She had this amazing little smirk and then just casually said, ‘Well, obviously I’m going to say that!’ It was perfect – so cheeky and funny.

Alan asked if she was able to move. To demonstrate, she lay flat on her back, hands folded on her chest, in a pose often referred to as the ‘mummy’ or ‘corpse’ position.

Okay, so you guys, Amanda just told me – and I nearly died – that she literally sleeps in a pearl thong! Like, a Sex and the City pearl thong! And she says she doesn’t even move when she’s sleeping in it! Can you even imagine? It’s the most Amanda thing ever, honestly. I’m obsessed!

The funny back-and-forth between them had fans laughing, and people flooded social media with praise for the close friends, with comments like, ‘Love you two! You’re hilarious! We need a new show soon!’

Amanda recently admitted she likes to sleep with her dogs, after playfully teasing her husband, Chris Hughes, about it.

Earlier this month at the Crufts dog show, she excitedly told Claudia Winkleman about her dogs, Minnie and Rudy. She even had portraits of them stitched onto the back of her jacket!

She playfully explained that she had Minnie’s DNA tested to figure out her breed, and the results were a funny surprise: apparently, she was Minnie’s mother! She was glad to finally have an answer.

She then asked Claudia about her pets, saying, ‘That’s not right, she’s a Shih Tzu and a toy Spaniel, and she’s truly the sweetest dog! Do you have a Spaniel?’

Claudia hesitantly revealed she kisses her spaniel, and Amanda admitted to bathing with her dogs. Amanda also mentioned she received a lot of reaction and comments about her unusual habit.

When asked if her dog sleeps in her bed, Amanda explained that it only happens when her husband, Chris, is away.

My husband, Chris, avoids sleeping in the same room as the dogs. He goes to the spare room because they’re too big and take up too much space in the bed.

Amanda joked: ‘I often choose to sleep with the dogs! Sorry, darling, it’s not Friday!’

Claudia playfully responded, ‘It’s not a holiday!’ and Amanda laughed, ‘Exactly!’ The host of the show then jokingly suggested they go ‘cuddle and kiss some dogs’.
