As a dedicated follower of Amanda Holden’s public life, I cannot help but be in awe of her strength and resilience in the face of adversity. The image of her basking in the sun while on holiday in Greece serves as a stark contrast to the harrowing experience her family went through just a short while ago.

Amanda Holden showed off her incredible figure while on holiday in Greece on Monday.

The 53-year-old BGT judge relaxed in the sun wearing a blue bikini with a strapless top and coordinating bottoms.

She paired a floral blouse with coordinating clothes and completed her beach outfit with a straw cowboy hat.

Amanda put on large sunglasses to protect her eyes from the sun’s glare before grinning for the photograph.

In her post caption, she wrote: “I’m wearing a bikini, hat, and shirt from @melissaodabash. This is a family picture, represented by the Greek flag.”

After Lexi, the actress’s daughter, was recently hospitalized with severe E. coli infection during the recent outbreak – which put her life at risk – the family decided to go on their vacation.

Five days ago, I received news that the TV star’s 18-year-old daughter, Lexi, who was preparing for her A-level exams, had been hospitalized. Amanda and her husband Chris were reportedly by her side throughout her five-day stay in the ward.

During a conversation about the symptoms to watch for in the current epidemic, Amanda shared with The Sun that her daughter Lexi had been experiencing bloating and abdominal pain.

She said: ‘For about three weeks, Lexi had been complaining of bloating and stomach cramps.’

‘She was not happy at all and in quite a lot of pain with her tummy.’

During my A-level studying period, when exams were approaching, I attributed my feelings to the usual exam pressure.

After taking her daughter to the doctor, who requested blood and stool tests, Amanda learned that these results indicated a bacterial infection.

During her time filming in Spain, the actress received multiple requests from different government authorities requesting information about potential food consumption locations for her daughter and the types of food kept at home.

Amanda disclosed that Lexi was infected with a particularly dangerous and uncommon strain of E. coli bacteria, which is known to cause harm to humans. In simpler terms, the harmful bacterial culture that can make people sick has resurfaced, and unfortunately, it’s affecting Lexi.

Amanda shared that she was puzzled, too, upon learning that her daughter had contracted a bacterial infection and was struggling to understand how it happened.

When the doctor inquired if she resided on a farm or owned any livestock due to an infection commonly linked to farmers, she confessed that her rabbits and cat had undergone check-ups as well.

The star admitted that the antibiotics her daughter had been taking didn’t appear to be effective, and she revealed that her doctor had contacted her with a reassuring tone before disclosing alarming news: Lexi’s blood test results showed extremely high levels, putting her at risk for septic shock.

The mother-of-two claimed that hearing the word sepsis was ‘terrifying’ to say the least.

Based on Amanda’s report, Lexi was the 113th identified case in the country; however, the doctor issued a cautionary note, implying that there were likely many more cases yet to surface.

After spending five days in the hospital, Amanda shared a new development about her daughter’s health: she has been discharged but needs to go back frequently for additional blood tests.

An unpleasant variant of the bacteria Escheria coli, specifically referred to as Verotoxic-producing E. coli (VTEC), can cause harm.

The majority of E. coli bacteria reside harmlessly within the digestive systems of humans and animals, causing no harm. However, certain strains of E. coli, such as VTEC, have the ability to produce a toxin that results in severe illness.

After consuming E. coli bacteria, symptoms typically appear within 2-4 days. These symptoms can include abdominal cramps, loose stools or diarrhea, feeling sick to your stomach, throwing up, and a fever.
