Amanda Bynes has strongly refuted a viral TikTok claim that she was impregnated by Nickelodeon producer Dan Schneider when she was 13 years old.
The former child star, now 39, has denied any involvement with a video circulating on social media, calling it full of false information.
Oh my god, you will NOT believe what I just saw. Someone grabbed a clip from Amanda’s old TikTok – it was from a fan account, ‘amandabynesupdates’, and it’s GONE now, thankfully. But it showed her recording a video, and someone had put text over it saying she got pregnant by this guy when she was only THIRTEEN! And there was a crying emoji! I’m seriously so worried about her; it was just… a lot.
The documentary Quiet On Set: The Dark Side Of Kids TV, which was released in 2024, included a clip of Amanda Bynes as a child in a hot tub while wearing a bikini, alongside a fully clothed Rob Schneider, now 59.
This clip comes from a recurring sketch called “Amanda’s Jacuzzi” on the show The Amanda Show (1999-2002). In the sketch, Amanda Bynes would playfully interview celebrities like Elvis Presley, Queen Elizabeth II, and Santa Claus while they were all relaxing in a jacuzzi.
Bynes stated the TikTok video wasn’t created by her. She believes someone edited it together, taking a recent clip from her Instagram Story—showing her on a date—and combining it with an older video of her that was previously shared.

The former actress told TMZ on Friday that a video spreading online wasn’t from her official TikTok page and was simply ‘fake content meant to get views.’
Representatives for Schneider have declined comment to the Daily Mail.
In May 2024, Schneider filed a defamation lawsuit against the creators of Quiet On Set, alleging the disturbing documentary series wrongly depicted him as someone who sexually abused children.
Derek Schneider, known for developing hit Nickelodeon shows such as All That, Drake & Josh, Henry Danger, Kenan & Kel, Sam & Cat, The Amanda Show, Victorious, Zoey 101, and iCarly, was recently the focus of an Investigation Discovery series detailing accusations of misconduct during the production of those shows.
He had faced a lawsuit alleging gender discrimination, a hostile workplace, and harassment.
A lawsuit filed by actor Corey Schneider, obtained by DailyMail.com, accuses the producers of his shows – including Warner Bros. Discovery, Maxine Productions, and Sony Pictures Television – of falsely suggesting he sexually abused child actors.
In November 2024, a Los Angeles court gave the go-ahead for Schneider to move forward with his lawsuit claiming he was defamed by a documentary series.
Judge Ashfaq G. Chowdhury ruled that Schneider’s lawsuit has merit and that the documentary could reasonably lead viewers to believe it contains serious accusations about his actions.

The judge rejected a request from Warner Bros. and Sony’s lawyers to dismiss the lawsuit. The lawyers had argued the suit should be thrown out based on a state law protecting free speech on important public issues, claiming the documentary didn’t actually accuse Schneider of sexual abuse.
Schneider’s lawyers argued the docuseries was unfairly biased against him, and that the creators made it purely to attract viewers and generate profit.
Corey Schneider joined the network in 1993 and played a key role in launching the careers of several young actors who went on to become famous, such as Miranda Cosgrove, Jamie Lynn Spears, and Ariana Grande.
The lawsuit claims the show attempted to link Dan Schneider to convicted sex offenders who also worked on Nickelodeon programs, suggesting similar behavior.
Brian Peck, a 64-year-old dialogue coach, was imprisoned for 16 months in 2004-2005 following his arrest on multiple charges, including sexual assault of a minor. Drake Bell publicly revealed he was the individual Peck abused, as detailed in the documentary Quiet On Set.
In April 2023, production assistant Jason Michael Handy received a six-year sentence after being convicted of two felonies and one misdemeanor related to two young girls.
In 2003, a search of his home uncovered a large collection of child pornography, consisting of over 10,000 images. He also confessed to being a pedophile in personal writings.
Schneider’s lawyers stated that he was unaware of the abuse, didn’t participate in it, spoke out against it when he found out about it, and was never involved in sexually abusing children himself.

Schneider alleges that ‘Quiet On Set’ deliberately used deceptive statements and editing in the trailer and some episodes to wrongly depict him as a pedophile.
The lawyer pointed out that the trailer linked the man’s success on Nickelodeon to a period the network considers a ‘dark chapter,’ then showed a graphic about true crime events. They argue this suggests the network is accusing him of harming children.
In the lawsuit, Schneider claims he was unaware of some inappropriate behavior he exhibited on set, but emphasizes that it had nothing to do with child sexual abuse.
In a recent interview, he addressed the docuseries, acknowledging that it brought to light errors in judgment and mistakes he made while working at Nickelodeon, particularly early in his career as a producer for Tollin/Robbins Productions. He admitted to sometimes being a poor leader and expressed sincere apologies and regret for his past behavior, stating he will continue to take responsibility for it.

They didn’t just report inaccuracies; they falsely suggested I helped or was part of terrible crimes, crimes for which convicted child predators have been punished. I’m open to criticism about how I managed people, but it’s unacceptable to mislead the public into believing I had anything to do with such awful acts.
Schneider is filing a lawsuit alleging defamation and is requesting financial compensation for the harm caused by the docuseries, including emotional and financial distress.
When the lawsuit was first filed, DailyMail.com reached out to Investigation Discovery, Maxine Productions, and Sony Pictures Television for a statement, but did not receive one.
Schneider has acknowledged he acted unprofessionally and stated he needs to sincerely apologize to those he affected.
In a March 2024 YouTube interview, former Nickelodeon star Schneider directly addressed the recent controversy, stating, ‘The last two nights have been really tough to watch.’
I’m coming to terms with things I’ve done in the past, some of which I’m ashamed of and wish I could take back. I realize I need to sincerely apologize to certain people.
Meanwhile, Bynes has maintained a relatively low profile since quitting Hollywood in 2010.
In December 2024, she held an art show that attracted several celebrities, including Noah Cyrus, Miley Cyrus’s sister.
This came after a difficult period for the singer, who experienced a very public personal crisis in the early 2010s. Following that, her parents established a legal conservatorship that lasted for nine years, beginning in 2013.
