Alpha7 Esports win 2024 PMWC as PUBG MOBILE power ranking leader

I’ve been following the PUBG MOBILE esports scene closely for quite some time now, and I have to admit that Alpha7 Esports is a team that has always caught my attention. Their consistent performance in international tournaments and their unwavering dedication to the game are truly commendable.

At the 2024 PMWC, Alpha7 Esports clinched their inaugural international title, earning them a prize of over $460,000 in cash and 1,000 EWC Club Points.

Alpha7 Esports emerged as the clear winners of the 2024 PUBG MOBILE Esports World Cup (PMWC), leaving the competition behind. The Brazilian squad claimed the top spot on the leaderboard with a strong performance, amassing an impressive total of five first-place finishes and maintaining a substantial 29-point advantage over their closest rivals, REJECT.

Alpha7 Esports triumphs over Titleholders

Alpha7 Esports, who are at the top of the PUBG MOBILE Power Ranking published by PUBG MOBILE Esports in June, joined the 2024 PMWC with favored status, alongside REJECT, winners of the 2024 PUBG MOBILE Global Open (PMGO) held in April.

As a gamer following Thailand’s Vampire Esports team, I was excitedly anticipating their dominance in this year’s international PUBG MOBILE tournaments after their back-to-back wins at the 2022 and 2023 PMWIs. However, things didn’t go as planned, and they finished a disappointing 7th place instead. Similarly, IHC Esports, last year’s PMGC champions, teamed up with Al-Ula FC for what seemed like an unstoppable force. Yet, we were all shocked when they slipped to an unexpected 11th place.

PMWC 2024 prize pool distribution

Together with a prize fund of $467,312.50, Alpha7 Esports gained 1,000 EWC club points in addition, moving their ranking to 5th place on July 28. Two team members, Mafioso and Revo, were recognized as Gunslinger and Grenade Master respectively, with these accolades.

First international trophy for Alpha7 Esports

Although Alpha7 Esports is known as one of the top PUBG MOBILE teams worldwide, this is their initial international victory since the team’s formation in 2020. Previously, they had shown impressive results in global tournaments but had yet to secure a championship title.

Alpha7 Esports is well-known in the competitive PUBG MOBILE scene. Starting in March 2020, they’ve been consistently committed to their craft, despite roster changes. In 2023, Alpha7 Esports broadened its horizons by entering new games such as Honor of Kings, Standoff 2, and MLBB.

An extra advantage for the Brazilian PUBG MOBILE team is their dedicated fanbase. This large following makes them a popular choice among fans, with over 222,000 Instagram followers and 38,500 YouTube subscribers.
