As a long-time fan of gripping and action-packed series, I am absolutely thrilled about the return of Taylor Sheridan’s “Special Ops: Lioness”! With its stellar cast, including the talented Zoe Saldaña, Nicole Kidman, Laysla De Oliveira, Genesis Rodriguez, and Michael Kelly, this show has always been a favorite.

Starting a fresh month brings fresh content on Paramount+! As autumn arrives, it’s time for some chilling entertainment. The platform boasts an extensive collection of both classic and contemporary horror movies, along with continuing and newly-arrived series that will keep you on the edge of your seat throughout the spooky season.

Here’s a taste of the exceptional programs set to stream on Paramount+ in October 2024. We’ve compiled an extensive lineup of all the fresh content debuting this month for your viewing pleasure.

Monster High: The Series – October 2

Spend a spooktacular time with your adorable ghouls as they enjoy season 1 of Nickelodeon’s animated show, “Monster High: The Series,” on Paramount this Halloween. This series is based on the Mattel fashion doll collection and follows the stories of Clawdeen Wolf, Draculaura, Frankie Stein, Deuce Gorgon, and other monster kids at Monster High, where they navigate their unique lives and adventures.

NCIS Origins premiere – October 14

As a die-hard NCIS fan, I’m thrilled to share that the upcoming sixth installment in the NCIS series, titled “Origins,” will debut on October 14th. This enticing prequel takes us back to the early days of Special Agent Leroy Jethro Gibbs’s career. Previously played by Mark Harmon in the main series, he reprises his role as narrator. The story unfolds at the Naval Investigative Service office in Camp Pendleton, where we see a green but determined Gibbs joining a tough, eclectic team led by veteran Special Agent Mike Franks (Kyle Schmid). Alongside Mariel Molino, Tyla Abercrumbie, and Diany Rodriguez, this 13-part series promises to be an exciting ride through the origins of one of our favorite characters.

Tyler Perry’s The Oval – Seasons 1-3 – 0ctober 16

Starting October 16th, the first three seasons of Tyler Perry’s popular political drama “The Oval” will be available to stream. Originally produced for BET, this series delves into the lives of U.S. President Hunter Franklin (played by Ed Quinn) and First Lady Victoria Franklin (Kron Moore), a seemingly perfect interracial couple who, beneath their public veneer, conceal their scandalous secrets. The narrative, reminiscent of soap operas, also explores the behavior of the president’s adult children and the staff at “The Oval,” who find themselves entangled in various aspects of their lives.

Elsbeth Season 2 – October 17

The second installment of the CBS police drama “Elsbeth” will premiere on Paramount+ on October 17th. This series is a spin-off from “The Good Wife,” with Carrie Preston reprising her character, Elsbeth, in the title role. In this show, we follow the story of a former Chicago attorney who now uses her sharp intellect and unconventional methods as an attorney working alongside the New York City Police Department to help solve their cases. Alongside Carrie Preston are Carra Patterson and Wendell Pierce.

Lioness season 2 – October 27

Beginning October 27, you’ll have the chance to stream the second season of Taylor Sheridan’s hit series, Special Ops: Lioness. The show stars Zoe Saldaña as Joe, a CIA field officer spearheading the Lioness program, and includes returning cast members Nicole Kidman, Laysla De Oliveira, Genesis Rodriguez, and Michael Kelly. This season of eight episodes finds the team battling threats closer to home, with a new operative joining their ranks to infiltrate an unknown danger. Additionally, Joe grapples with the personal costs of her leadership role as the series progresses. The premiere episodes (1 & 2) will be available on October 27, with subsequent episodes being released weekly up until the season finale on December 8.
