Bad Bunny’s super bowl 2026 halftime show featured a number of celebrity appearances.
Bad Bunny, the 31-year-old Puerto Rican star, was joined on stage by a star-studded lineup including Lady Gaga, Jessica Alba, Pedro Pascal, Karol G, Young Miko, David Grutman, Cardi B, Alix Earle, and Ricky Martin, among others.
Bad Bunny, who previously dated Kendall Jenner, kicked off his concert at Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara, California on Sunday with the song ‘Tití Me Preguntó.’ The concert took place before the Seattle Seahawks beat the New England Patriots 29-13.
Benito Antonio Martínez Ocasio, known as Bad Bunny, then began performing ‘Yo Perreo Sola,’ and Cardi B joined the performance alongside Alba, Earle, Karol, and Pedro.
Even though Cardi B didn’t perform, the crowd erupted when Lady Gaga surprised everyone by running onto the field to play a lively, salsa version of ‘Die With A Smile,’ backed by bongos, maracas, and horns.
Lady Gaga turned heads in a beautiful blue dress that paid tribute to Puerto Rico. The gown was designed with the island’s national flower, the Flor de Maga, as a special detail.
Cardi B was spotted enjoying herself and dancing on stage while her partner, Stefon Diggs, and his football team later lost a tough game.
Pedro Pascal, the popular Chilean actor, made an appearance on stage. He was joined by Puerto Rican rapper Young Miko and well-known hospitality entrepreneur David Grutman, adding to the excitement.
Meanwhile Ricky Martin sang a rendition of Bad Bunny’s song, ‘Lo Que Le Pasó a Hawai’i.’
One fan shared on X that the halftime show was incredibly exciting, saying it felt amazing as a fan of both Lady Gaga and Bad Bunny.
‘bad bunny and Gaga’s relationship is the cutest thing ever,’ another viewer enthused.
One fan raved about Bad Bunny’s performance, saying it was amazing! They especially loved the atmosphere and visual presentation, and were thrilled to see special guests Lady Gaga and Ricky Martin. They gave Bad Bunny, whose real name is Benito, a perfect score!
Another viewer felt similarly and praised the visual elements of the halftime show.
Everything was perfect! They gave top marks – ten out of ten – for the production, set design, visuals, choreography, Lady Gaga, and Bad Bunny. It was flawless across the board.
Others noted that the guest spot was fitting, as Bad Bunny is an avowed fan of Lady Gaga.
One viewer commented that Bad Bunny, a huge fan of Lady Gaga, successfully brought her on stage with him, calling him a ‘little monster’ in reference to Gaga’s fanbase.
One fan jokingly suggested that Bad Bunny brought out Lady Gaga because he didn’t have enough popular songs to fill the show.
One viewer thought the performance was decent, praising Lady Gaga and the dancers. They weren’t impressed with Bad Bunny, and joked that it might be an age thing.
Some fans thought Cardi B would have been a better choice to join Bad Bunny.
The singer started his performance, which was primarily in Spanish, with the song “Tití Me Preguntó.” He sang it while walking through a sugarcane field that had been built on the event grounds.
He wore a short-sleeved white shirt and white drawstring pants, and held a football in hands covered by white gloves.
He followed the song up with Yo Perreo Sola, Safaera, Party, Voy a Llevarte Pa’ PR, EoO and Monaco.
Leaving the sugarcane fields, he paused to sing near the fruit sellers, a group of men enjoying a game, and a woman getting her nails done.
Bad Bunny then emerged on the roof of a building while celebrities danced under its awning.
A funny, pre-recorded video showed Bad Bunny seemingly crashing through a family’s roof and landing in their living room. He quickly shook off the dust and then dramatically walked out the front door.
As a newly married couple finished their ceremony, he was guided through the violinists, which led directly into a surprise performance by Lady Gaga, who sang one of her songs.
Bad Bunny invited singer X to the stage to perform their 2024 hit song, ‘Die With A Smile,’ which is a collaboration with Bruno Mars, and they shared an impromptu salsa dance break.
Bad Bunny then took the stage again, performing “BAILE INoLVIDABLE” and “NUEVAYoL.” He surprised the audience by bringing out Ricky Martin to join him for a performance of “LO QUE LE PASÓ A HAWAii.”
The song debuted on Bad Bunny’s most recent LP, the 2025 hit Debí Tirar Más Fotos.
During a particularly strange part of the show, the main performer went onto a platform while dancers, costumed as line workers, appeared to hang from wires, mimicking repairs on power poles.
Bad Bunny ended his performance with a powerful trio of songs: “El Apagón,” “CAFé CON RON,” and the title track from his newest album, “DeBÍ TiRAR MáS FOToS.”
Bad Bunny launched the epic conclusion by bringing out the flag of Puerto Rico and waving it about.
He waved the flag and exclaimed ‘God bless America!’ then listed several Latin American countries, recognizing the origins of many immigrants in the US. He concluded by also mentioning the US, Canada, and his home country, Puerto Rico.
Above the field, a bright electronic billboard displayed the message: ‘The only thing more powerful than hate is love.’
With the Super Bowl approaching, many people were curious if Bad Bunny would use the event’s large audience to publicly criticize the Trump administration and its policies on immigration, particularly the actions of ICE.
Trump branded the show a ‘slap in the face’ to America.
He strongly criticized the Super Bowl Halftime Show, calling it “absolutely terrible” and “one of the worst ever.” He felt it was nonsensical, disrespectful to American values, and failed to meet standards of success, creativity, and excellence.
It’s hard to follow what this person is saying, and the dancing is inappropriate, particularly for children watching in the United States and around the world.
