All the looks from the 2024 Emmys red carpet
As a seasoned movie buff who’s attended more red carpets than I can count (and lost track of), let me tell you, tonight’s Emmy Awards is always a sight to behold! It’s like a fashion show for the television elite, where the stars strut their stuff and leave us mere mortals in awe.
Here comes another spectacular evening for television! Yes, you’re right that the 75th Emmy Awards took place earlier in January due to Hollywood’s historic dual strike, which forced a shift from their usual September date. Yet, we always relish opportunities to acknowledge outstanding TV programs and the fabulous fashion donned by TV personalities and creators.
Today, a diverse array of captivating performers like Selena Gomez from “Only Murders in the Building,” Jennifer Aniston of “The Morning Show,” Sofía Vergara starring in “Griselda,” Ayo Edebiri featured in “The Bear,” Anna Sawai on “Shōgun,” Quinta Brunson in “Abbott Elementary,” Elizabeth Debicki gracing “The Crown,” Sheryl Lee Ralph and Lily Gladstone from “Abbott Elementary” and “Under the Bridge,” Naomi Watts appearing in “Feud: Capote vs. the Swans,” Reese Witherspoon on “The Morning Show,” and Brie Larson in “Lessons in Chemistry” will make their presence felt, as we kick off awards season with a variety of striking appearances.
And don’t count out the men. Jeremy Allen White (“The Bear”), Matt Bomer (“Fellow Travelers”), Donald Glover (“Mr. & Mrs. Smith”), Idris Elba (“Hijack”), Jon Hamm (“Fargo” and “The Morning Show”), Andrew Scott (“Ripley”) and Jonathan Bailey (“Fellow Travelers”) are among the actors sure to bring their A game. Hosts and father-son duo Eugene Levy and Dan Levy will undoubtedly look dapper as well, taking cues from their fashionable “Schitt’s Creek” characters.
This year’s Emmy Awards ceremony will be held live from the Peacock Theater at L.A. Live and broadcast on ABC at 5 p.m. Pacific Time. “Shōgun” has the most nominations of any show this year with 25, breaking the record for a comedy series, while “The Bear” follows closely behind with 23 nominations.
