All the horror movies and shows coming and leaving Netflix in September 2024

As a seasoned gamer and horror enthusiast with over two decades of chilling experiences under my belt, I must say that Netflix never ceases to surprise me with their impressive lineup of spine-tingling content. The upcoming releases for September are no exception!

It’s hard to believe August is nearly done! This month has been packed with some fantastic horror content on Netflix, including the lesser-known gem “Tarot”, psychological chiller “Pearl”, and several installments of the Chucky series. As August draws to a close, Netflix will be premiering the supernatural horror movie “The Deliverance” on August 30, and we’re eagerly anticipating giving it a watch!

As we move towards September, Netflix has unveiled their complete lineup of shows and movies arriving and departing from the platform next month. Upon examination, there are quite a few upcoming horror titles on the list. Additionally, some existing ones will be removed. Rest assured, here’s a rundown of all the horror movies and shows joining or leaving Netflix in September.

Just so you know, not all the series and films we’ll mention may strictly fall under the horror genre. Some are closer to it, often categorized as “horror-adjacent” or simply appealing to fans of horror. We’ve chosen to include these titles because we believe they would be enjoyed by many horror enthusiasts.

Jaws 1-3 (1975-1983)

Netflix release date: Sept. 1, 2024

As a long-time fan of the iconic “Jaws” franchise, I can hardly contain my excitement about the upcoming addition of the first three movies to Netflix this September! Having grown up watching these thrilling tales of survival against the relentless great white shark, I vividly remember the heart-pounding scenes from both the original and its sequel. The chilling score, the suspenseful buildup, and the shocking attacks on beachgoers at a small seaside town were the stuff of nightmares for many of us kids back then.

Wallace & Gromit: The Curse of the Were-Rabbit (2005)

Netflix release date: Sept. 1, 2024

In this charming stop-motion movie, we join the adventures of Wallace, an unconventional inventor, and his loyal dog Gromit, as they aim to defeat a fearsome beast that’s been causing havoc in their peaceful English hamlet. This formidable creature was inadvertently brought to life by one of Wallace’s experiments that went awry.

Because rabbits were consuming all the crops in the village, Wallace developed an innovation intended to make rabbits dislike vegetables instead. Unfortunately, things went wrong during the experimentation process, resulting in the birth of a colossal rabbit, which became known as a “Were-Rabbit.”

The Perfect Couple (2024)

Netflix release date: Sept. 5, 2024

“The Ideal Duo” – This mystery limited series revolves around Amelia Sacks, on the verge of marrying into one of Nantucket’s most affluent families. However, a shocking twist unfolds when a corpse is unearthed mere hours before the wedding, leaving her, her future in-laws, and everyone involved in a precarious predicament, as they all become potential suspects.

Uglies (2024)

Netflix release date: Sept. 13, 2024

In the future, the upcoming science fiction movie “Uglies” unfolds in a world where beauty reigns supreme. The story revolves around a teenage girl named Tally, who is about to undergo mandatory plastic surgery. However, when her friend mysteriously vanishes, Tally embarks on an adventure to find her. Actress Joey King plays the role of Tally in this film. Alongside her are actors Keith Powers, Chase Stokes, Brianne Tju, Laverne Cox, and more members of the talented cast.

Monsters: The Lyle and Erik Menendez Story (2024)

Netflix release date: Sept. 19, 2024

The second installment of the “Monster” true-crime anthology series produced by Ryan Murphy and Ian Brennan is titled “Monsters: The Lyle and Erik Menendez Story“.
