After four episodes, the identity of the secret Traitor has been revealed. This person was secretly manipulating events while disguised, and was responsible for deciding who the other Traitors should eliminate.
To uncover the hidden traitor, the traitors had to publicly choose nine players to eliminate by marking their photos on the family tree with red ink. After Rachel successfully marked nine people – including another traitor, Stephen – the episode concluded with the revealed traitor going to meet their accomplice in the turret.
Those who were secretly working against the group tried to deduce the identity of the other traitor using the available hints. They only managed to correctly guess the traitor’s gender.

It turned out Fiona was the traitor all along, and looking back, fans say there were actually a lot of hints pointing to her.
A viewer pointed out on X that Fiona didn’t try to find a shield, yet still correctly identified two out of three traitors during the car ride back from a challenge.
Fans didn’t suspect Fiona was the traitor only when things got difficult. One Reddit user pointed out her reactions during the round table banishments were a giveaway. They explained that a traitor is often easiest to spot when someone is pretending to be upset about voting off a fellow player – either overacting or showing forced anxiety.
Many viewers observed that Fiona seemed to be playfully hinting she was the secret traitor during her interview segments. One fan explained they suspected Fiona was the traitor because her comments in the video packages were deliberately unclear, leaving her allegiance ambiguous.
I was scrolling through Reddit and someone pointed out something really interesting – the music always changes whenever Fiona talks directly to the camera. Then another fan chimed in, saying she gets way more screen time when she’s saying things that are a little weird or suspicious. They think it’s a pretty clear sign she’s the one we should be watching!
Viewers suspected the show’s creators were intentionally misleading them with obvious hints. One online commenter pointed out that the frequent shots of a particular contestant smirking and spending a lot of time in the ‘hot seat’ seemed like a deliberate attempt to throw people off her trail – suggesting she wasn’t the culprit because it was too easy to guess.

Apparently, not!
The reveal disappointed some fans, with one commenting they’d expected a more challenging mystery instead of the most predictable character. Others described it as underwhelming.
Fiona appeared to be enjoying her new position, even joking about interest from Hollywood. However, it’s unclear if she’ll get along with the others who are secretly working against the group. Rachel and Stephen didn’t seem thrilled to have her around, and they’d already agreed to support each other if the secret traitor was discovered.
As Fiona rightly said, it’s just a game in the end. It’s impossible to predict whether the ‘traitors’ will team up or turn on each other, and you can expect plenty of online speculation about what will happen.
The Traitors airs on BBC One and streams on BBC iPlayer.
