Sydney’s most prominent socialites gathered in December to celebrate the wedding of Samantha Appel, founder of The Skin Bar, and her partner, Matt Saville.

As a lifestyle expert, I always love hearing about beautiful celebrations, and this one definitely fits the bill! The newly married couple threw a truly elegant party – a classic black-tie event – at the gorgeous Catalina Restaurant in Rose Bay. It sounds like the perfect setting for starting their life together!

As a lifestyle expert, I witnessed a truly magical moment recently. Samantha looked absolutely breathtaking as she walked down the aisle. She wore a stunning, custom-made strapless gown – a real work of art by Shehzarin Batha Couture. It was a vision!

She wore a stunning dress with timeless Chanel heels, creating a look that everyone in the room loved.

Designer Shehzarin Batha told the Daily Mail that creating Sam’s wedding outfit was a dream project. She described it as a lavish, personal, and beautifully made expression of who Sam is.

As a huge fan, I’m always struck by the incredible attention to detail in their designs. It’s not just about the overall look, but how it’s made. Take, for example, the way they craft their taffeta skirts – each one is hand-trimmed for that perfect flow. And the corsets? They’re completely custom-made with beautiful lacing, and the way the fabric drapes around the neckline is just so thoughtfully considered. Every single element feels deliberate and special.

Every detail was carefully considered, from luxurious satin gloves imported from London to a stunning riding hat for women. This hat, a beautiful echo of 18th-century fashion, was adorned with ostrich feathers and crafted from a single piece of velvet, with each stitch sewn by hand.

The ceremony drew a large crowd of prominent figures from the eastern suburbs, including Joshua Clapp, the head of a construction company specializing in hospitality projects, and his girlfriend, model Simone Holtznagel.

The event also drew well-known figures like social media personality Sammy Robinson, creative director Mikey Nolan, Ksubi founder Dan Single, and model Charlie Austin.

Interestingly, both Clapp and Single have previously been in relationships with P.E Nation founder Pip Edwards. A guest also mentioned that other former partners of hers were at the event.

The event also welcomed plastic surgeon Dr. Kelly Thornbury, real estate expert Belinda Bartholomew-Walsh, DJ Milena Gattegno of The Faders, and Charlie Kelly, a co-owner of Bartiga, along with other notable guests like Josh Morris.

Longtime friends Beau and Kara Ryan were also at the event. Beau, who presents on Triple M Sydney, acted as the master of ceremonies.

Beau charmed the crowd with his witty and heartwarming remarks, sharing touching stories about the couple.

For the evening event, Samantha changed into another stylish outfit from The New Trend, put together by Diana Lewes, and completed the look with Jimmy Choo heels.

After the official welcome, guests enjoyed a beautiful and moving outdoor performance by the renowned opera singer Catherine Bouchier.

Her dramatic stage presence was amplified by a dazzling fireworks display over Rose Bay.

As a party planner, I always say the best celebrations keep going and going! This one was no exception – everyone was on the dance floor with The Mark Fields Band, and then Single stepped in as DJ to keep the energy going late into the night. It was fantastic!

Sydney’s most famous celebrities attended the wedding of Ruby Rose Schofield and Jack Joseph last November.

Guests admired Ruby, a stunning model and past finalist in Miss World Australia, as she walked down the aisle wearing a beautiful, layered strapless gown.

The newlyweds exchanged vows as her husband, Jack – who directs property development at WT Malouf – looked handsome in a tuxedo.

The couple are parents to a daughter, Arabella Elizabeth Rose Joseph, born in December last year.

Centennial Park was filled with well-known residents from the eastern suburbs for a beautiful outdoor event. Afterwards, guests continued the celebration with a reception at the popular Coogee restaurant, Mimi’s.

The event was attended by several well-known faces, including Australian rules footballer Harry Himmelberg and his wife Taylia, model Simone Holtznagel, and interior designer Jack Freeman.

Simone looked stunning in a black, strapless dress when she arrived alone, without her boyfriend, Joshua Clapp, who runs a construction company in the hospitality industry.

Deborah Symond, who comes from the family behind Aussie Home Loans, was also at the event with her husband, Ned O’Neil. He’s a director at property developer Addenbrooke and the son of yacht broker Denis O’Neil.

Lawyer Christie Bouffler turned heads in a shimmering, strapless dress when she arrived with a friend.

November was a busy month for weddings.

Sydney’s most fashionable residents gathered for the glamorous wedding of pub owner Ben May and his bride-to-be, Pippa Ridley.

The couple celebrated their wedding at The Joey on Palm Beach, and were joined by special guests like Jade Yarbrough and Montana Cox.

I spotted Buddy Franklin’s former girlfriend, Kasia Z, at the event! She looked amazing with her husband, Andy Palto – he’s a designer, and they make a really lovely couple.

Indie pop duo Angus and Julia Stone, who are siblings, performed at the event for the celebrity couple.

Pippa looked radiant as she walked down the aisle at Barrenjoey Boatshed, her sun-kissed skin glowing in her white satin wedding dress.

She wore a beautiful, strapless dress that flowed gently around her. She carried a bouquet of white calla lilies, and the dress draped softly in the front.

The model looked beautiful in her wedding outfit, and wore classic white heels as she exited the wedding transportation.

She kept her jewelry simple, wearing just a diamond bracelet and earrings, and styled her long, brown hair in soft waves.

Pippa, the fashion designer, first saw her groom while standing with her bridesmaids, all dressed in white.

The couple exchanged vows, framed by the ocean, both smiling as they said ‘I do’.

Sydney’s most prominent Jewish families gathered for the lavish wedding of Jerome Srot and Cecilia Summer, a glamorous couple known throughout the eastern suburbs.

In April, the couple got married in a beautiful, traditional ceremony at Central Synagogue in Bondi Junction, a place that holds special meaning for them.

The bride looked elegant in a modest gown by an Israeli designer. The dress had beautiful draping around the shoulders and flowed to the floor. She completed the look with a diamond necklace and earrings.

Celebrity lawyer Bryan Wrench was among the guests, and he arrived in his trademark double-breasted suit – the same style he frequently wears in the courtroom.

Fadi Ibrahim, known for his flamboyant style and distinctive hairstyle, and his wife Shayda certainly made a statement as they arrived.

Fadi was able to attend after narrowly avoiding prison time last June. A New South Wales judge found that he hadn’t intentionally held $600,000 that was believed to be from illegal activities.

He avoided jail time with a suspended sentence and promised, ‘I will never put myself in a position where the source of money is questionable.’

Beyond the happy couple, the event drew attention from some of Sydney’s biggest names in real estate, including TRG founder Gavin Rubinstein, buyer’s agent Simon Cohen, Shani Costi from Costi Cohen, and Remi Lindsay, who works at TRG.

Okay, so I saw him – Liam Rubinstein – out and about all by himself. It’s just… heartbreaking, honestly. I mean, I’d been following his relationship with Holly Young so closely, and then Daily Mail Australia dropped that bomb about them splitting up. Seeing him alone just confirmed it, and it was just… sad. I’m still reeling, honestly!

Rubinstein is now dating Ruby Adler, who appeared on the show Made in Chelsea, and there’s speculation they might get engaged soon – possibly leading to a wedding we could see in 2026!

The wedding celebration, including the reception, took place at the synagogue and was attended by several well-known figures from the medical and beauty industries. These included plastic surgeon Dr. Shahram Shahidi from Woollahra, Babak Moini, co-founder of Laser Clinics Australia, and Kian Moini, owner of the Q-Tox salon.

Dana Giufre, one of the wedding guests, took a risk with her fashion choice. She wore a $780 yellow dress by Paco Rabanne that, in certain lighting, appeared almost white – very similar to a bridal gown.

Marc James, who manages VIP clients for Dior and caters to Sydney’s high-society, was also noticed attracting attention at the event.

More than 150 friends and family celebrated the couple’s special day.

Natalie Kelly, a well-known socialite, and her fiancé, Josh, celebrated their wedding with a two-day event in Italy this July.

The couple said ‘I do’ surrounded by their famous friends and closest family in Sorrento.

Natalie, who works in marketing at Macquarie Telecom, looked stunning in an elegant off-the-shoulder dress when she married her partner in a beautiful outdoor wedding.

The couple celebrated with family and friends at a beautiful oceanfront venue, enjoying a night of fun and festivities.

Celebrations for the wedding began on Sunday when they hosted ‘welcome drinks’ for their guests.

The party then continued the following day with the couple saying ‘I do’ in a romantic ceremony.

Bachelor star Anna Heinrich and her husband Tim Robards were in attendance.

Anna looked stunning in a $1,100 Rebecca Vallance dress, and Tim was sharply dressed in a classic black tuxedo with a white shirt and bow tie.

Anna shared on Instagram how amazing the wedding was, calling it one of the most incredible she’s ever attended. She expressed a lot of love for the couple and described the bride, Natalie Kelly, as absolutely stunning.

Nadia Adelstein and Alex Toohey, as well as Anna’s sister Andrea, also joined the couple.

Bella Geminder, the Australian billionaire’s daughter, married her fiancé Jose Falk in a glamorous Melbourne wedding in January.

The 26-year-old granddaughter of the late Richard Pratt recently married her partner in a ceremony held at her family’s home in the affluent Kew neighborhood, with around 500 guests in attendance.

Bella glowed in a beautiful, traditional white dress without straps, and her happiness was clear as she and her partner said their vows.

A video posted online showed the couple sharing their first kiss as a married couple, both looking incredibly happy right after the wedding ceremony.

The wealthy woman had long, wavy brown hair that looked beautiful with her radiant makeup.

Meanwhile, Jose looked every inch the dashing groom in a designer cream tuxedo.

The wedding guest list included Bella’s aunt, Heloise Pratt, and her musician partner, Jon Stevens, along with close friends and family.

The event was held in the upscale neighborhood of Kew. It began with a traditional Jewish ceremony and continued with a formal, black-tie reception held inside a tent on the grounds of Raheen, the Pratt family’s home.

In June, the couple surprised friends and family with a beautiful second wedding ceremony in Italy.

Melbourne’s most prominent social figures gathered with them at Villa Cimbrone, a luxurious and historic five-star hotel located on Italy’s beautiful Amalfi Coast.

Bella looked stunning in a beautiful ivory dress, featuring a low-cut neckline and delicate lace detailing on the top.

A long, sheer veil flowed down her back, creating a beautiful train that spread across the floor behind her.

Bella wore her long, brown hair down, letting it flow over her shoulders.

Jose, meanwhile, looked every inch the dapper groom in a smart navy blue suit.

He brightened up his outfit with a purple vest and a gold tie, completing the look with a light shirt and black leather shoes.

Sarah Lucas, along with her husband Chris who owns restaurants, was at the event. The Melbourne socialite looked particularly glamorous.

The event also drew well-known figures like Melbourne personality Holly Lucas, and stylists Nadia Phillips and Chris Kontos, along with model Izi Simundic.

The wedding looked very elegant, with pictures showing guests celebrating at beautifully decorated tables set on the venue’s lovely lawn.
