All teams and talent at the BLAST Austin Major

The team list is locked, the talent has been announced — the Austin Major is upon us at last.

countdown has begun for the BLAST Austin Major, taking place soon. Top teams and players worldwide have spent all of 2025 working tirelessly to impress and secure their invitation, or win a slot through final qualifiers, to this year’s premier event in competitive Counter-Strike.

The action gets underway this week! Here’s a sneak peek at the squads and stars you’ll see during the Austin Major in June.

In the upcoming Texas tournament in June, Team Vitality arrives as the clear front-runners, with 24 other teams joining them on their quest. What makes Vitality exceptional – seven consecutive trophies and an impressive 30 series wins in a row – doesn’t guarantee success in this major event, which is a challenge of its own.

Leading champions Spirit, runner-up MOUZ, powerhouse Falcons, and FaZe Clan strengthened by Oleksandr “s1mple” Kostyljev are all closing in on Vitality. Contenders The MongolZ and Aurora are also aiming for a top eight placement and could potentially make a significant impact this month, while Natus Vincere are hoping their best performances are yet to come after a sluggish start in 2025.

At the Austin Major, teams either received invitations based on Valve Regional Rankings or earned a spot through regional qualifying tournaments. The top eight teams were directly placed into the Swiss bracket for Stage 3, while the following eight began in Stage 2. Teams that qualified started their competition in Stage 1.

Anders “Anders” Blume is back on the microphone for a major tournament since Copenhagen 2024, teaming up with seasoned caster Daniel “ddk” Kapadia who has experience in both Counter-Strike and VALORANT.
