Monster Hunter Stories 3 has a huge number of side quests – 120 in total! These offer lots of extra things to do alongside the main story and collecting new Monsties. With so many options, it can be tricky to figure out which side quests are most helpful at the beginning of the game and which ones can wait until later.

Monster Hunter Stories 3 Subquest List

We’ve organized all the side quests on this list by the game’s four areas, listed in alphabetical order. Before you start exploring, here are a few important things to know about these side quests.

  • If you can’t figure out where something is, there will usually be an icon on the region’s map showing you where to go.
  • Some sidequests require you to partner with specific allies. If you do not see these quests while exploring, make sure you’ve completed that specific character’s side story.
  • Many subquests will not be unlocked until you complete the subquest before it, like the Poogie Hunt and Velocidrome quests. Always do the quests you have access to so that you don’t accidentally lock yourself out of other quests.

Canalta Timberland has a lot to offer, with 41 side quests for players to finish. It has more side quests than Azuria or Serathis, though just a few less than Tarkuan. How About a Trade? Trade with the Felyne for the Sandship Toy. Next, walk to the right side of the Galyad sandship docks and trade the Sandship Toy to a Dull Merchant for a Cast-Iron Chisel. Fast-travel to the Colossal Dragon’s Remains Lookout Point Catavan Stand and walk north. Speak to the Heedless Egg Hunter and trade the Cast-Iron Chisel for a Prismatic Crystal. Return to Galyad and walk further into the city on the right side. When you come across an Insect-Loving Artisan, trade the Prismatic Crystal for a Gorgeous Necklace. Return to and talk with the Felyne to complete the quest.
