The captivating (or chaotic) murder-mystery series, known as Amsterdam, has recently found its way onto Netflix’s lineup.
2022 saw the debut of a movie that tells the story of Christian Bale, Margot Robbie, and John David Washington as they portray a trio of friends. They accidentally stumble upon a murder and are subsequently falsely accused of it. As they work to clear their names, they unearth an astonishing conspiracy along the way.
In 1933, these three friends, tightly knit, discover they’re right in the heart of a startlingly hidden conspiracy in American history.

Additionally, Anya Taylor-Joy, Alessandro Nivola, Andrea Riseborough, Chris Rock, Mike Myers, and Michael Shannon will also be part of the high-profile ensemble alongside Bale, Robbie, and Washington.
Besides these notable actors, you’ll find Zoe Saldaña, Rami Malek, Timothy Olyphant, Robert De Niro, and Taylor Swift on the roster as well (among others).

Under the guidance of director David O Russell, the highly anticipated film titled “Amsterdam” is now available on Netflix for viewers in the United Kingdom and Ireland. This gives them the opportunity to stream the stellar production right away.
After its premiere, the movie received a mix of positive and negative feedback, with a rating of 31% based on 261 reviews on Rotten Tomatoes at present.
In a glowing review, The Observer commended Russell’s movie, stating: “Let the film’s vibrant and relentless energy wash over you, and immerse yourself in the delight and indignation that drive its heartfelt sentiment. In doing so, you will find it deeply touching, and – at certain moments – utterly captivating.
As a gamer, I’d say: “What makes this movie shine is its infectious enthusiasm, and let me tell you, Russell nailed it when he said that the historical loop we’re stuck in now is an absolute rollercoaster ride.” (Written by The Washington Post)

According to Vanity Fair, Russell’s findings are sentimental yet strangely compelling. The movie’s overt sincerity and excessive emotional appeals are tough to ignore.
In simpler terms, the website RogerEbert.com remarked that Amsterdam is an extravagant yet lacking film, chaotic and aimless, and essentially a chaotic, celebrity-filled, hot mess on the big screen.
In simpler terms, The Wall Street Journal didn’t find Amsterdam to fit the category of an unfunny comedy alone. Instead, they described it as more than just humor, also encompassing elements that are lacking in thrill and mystery, but not necessarily in a negative way.
Amsterdam is now streaming on Netflix.
