Sisters Nicole and Natalie Appleton, known as All Saints, are getting back together as Appleton to release new music for the first time in 23 years.
The two sisters, aged 51 and 52, debuted their new song, “Falling Into You,” on Wednesday. They wrote the song together with Gareth Young.
Nicole explained that they hadn’t collaborated with Gareth since their album ‘Everything’s Eventual,’ but they were surprised by how easily they fell back into working together. She said the song came naturally because it really reflected their own experiences as a band.
The members of the popular 90s group All Saints – alongside Melanie Blatt and Shaznay Lewis – returned to music in 2023 with a re-release of their 2003 hit, ‘Everything’s Eventual’. This is their most recent musical offering.
The group’s first big hit, “Fantasy,” came out in September 2002 and quickly reached number two on the charts. They followed it up a few months later with another popular song, the ballad “Don’t Worry,” which also landed in the top five.

Nicole explained that the music industry is very different now compared to when Appleton first released an album. They’re approaching their new work without any pressure, simply enjoying the creative process and playing music because they love it.
Reflecting on her return after a long absence, she noted that the music industry has become considerably more challenging. She explained that many artists are struggling financially with touring and covering expenses due to rising costs.
Natalie described walking into the studio as feeling like stepping back in time. She explained it felt like they had traveled twenty years into the past, and it all came very naturally.
On February 19th, Appleton will be performing with the BBC Concert Orchestra on BBC Radio 2’s Piano Rooms, and then again at the popular Mighty Hoopla festival in May.
Nicole hinted at what their performances will be like, mentioning they’ll include a couple of enjoyable cover songs alongside all their popular hits.

It’s been more than 20 years since these two performers shared a stage, and their last tour with All Saints was almost five years ago.
Nicole’s 24-year-old son, Gene – whose father is Liam Gallagher – is believed to have played a key role in the recent reunion, possibly inspired by his father’s Oasis reunion last year.
She explained that the positive response to the 2003 vinyl release of ‘Everything Eventual’ led their sons to encourage them to record new music. They essentially asked why their parents didn’t go back into the studio.
‘Gene was like, “Why don’t you ask Aunty Nat?” And I was like, “should we?”’
