From July 10th to July 12th, the FATAL FURY CotW Esports World Cup 2025 will take place. Contestants are separated into four groups during this time, with group matches forming the preliminary rounds. The winners of the upper and lower finals from these group matches proceed to the playoffs.
In the core structure of the FATAL FURY EWC, each contest is a single-elimination round. Consequently, suffering a single defeat early on leads to elimination. Moreover, apart from the championship game, this tournament includes a match for determining the third place.
In the 2025 Esports World Cup, there will be two additional fighting game tournaments added to the schedule. The TEKKEN 8 tournament takes place from August 13th to August 16th, while the Street Fighter 6 EWC is scheduled for August 20th to August 23rd.
