Curious about the voice talents behind Marathon’s captivating cinematic short? You’re in luck! Unlike other cinematic experiences such as Halo and Destiny, Marathon won’t follow a traditional narrative path. Instead, its story will be presented through community events, missions, collectibles, and more, offering a unique interactive experience.

While there may not be a constant flow of dialogue or character interactions, it’s important to note that each of the six runners will have their own distinct identities, personalities, and vocal styles. This diversity sets them apart from your typical Hunters, Titans, and Warlocks in the game.

It’s unclear how much they contributed to shaping Marathon’s storyline, particularly during gameplay. Nevertheless, the depiction of The Runners in the cinematic short was quite impressive, largely due to the presence of some highly experienced voice actors from the industry.

For long-time Bungie enthusiasts, it’s likely you won’t find this unexpected: Bungie has always boasted remarkable characters, thanks to exceptional voice acting that truly brings them to life. This upcoming extraction shooter seems to follow suit, and you might even notice familiar voices in the short video – like Ben Starr lending his legendary voice as the narrator.

  • BlackBird — Nika Futterman (Destiny 2, Marvel Rivals)
  • Glitch  — Erika Lindbeck (Persona 5, Mortal Kombat 11)
  • Locus — TBA

Without a doubt, one of Marathon’s standout performances has been Elias Toufexis as the cybernetic stealth ninja character Void. The reason for this excitement lies in Elias’ previous role as Adam Jensen, another cybernetic ninja, within the Deus Ex video game series.

It’s intriguing to learn that Elias is stepping into a role somewhat comparable to characters from other games, as we’re unsure when Eidos Montreal will develop another Deus Ex title.

It’s noteworthy to mention that Toufexis serves as the Voice Director for Marathon. The exact responsibilities of this position aren’t clear, but it appears that he has a significant role in the game’s acting and performance aspects during its creation.

In a change of pace from managing tasks in Destiny 2, beloved character Eva Levanta is now training to become a Marathon Runner instead. Meanwhile, the role of recon specialist BlackBird is filled by Nika Futterman, who has previously brought Hela to life in Marvel Rivals. We’re eagerly anticipating Futterman’s portrayal of BlackBird.

As a devoted fan, I can’t help but be captivated by the edgy, cyberpunk-inspired character known as Glitch in the game Marathon. You might recognize the voice behind Glitch – none other than Erika Lindbeck, who played Futaba Sakura in Persona 5. This versatile actress brings Glitch to life with her unique abilities that include disorienting enemies and utilizing her support skills to aid her teammates. In the cinematic short of Marathon, she truly stands out and leaves us eagerly anticipating more about this intriguing character.

So far, these are all the voice actors we’ve come across for the Marathon game. It’s important to note that we don’t yet have information on how many lines they deliver or their role in the overall storyline. Yet, what we do know is that they will issue various commands during battles, akin to characters in typical hero-shooter games.
