All LoL teams qualified for MSI 2025
Ten teams, one goal: international champions at MSI 2025.
The Mid-Season Invitational by League of Legends is just around the corner, with Vancouver, Canada set to welcome 10 top teams worldwide from June to July next year. MSI 2025 will be the second international LoL tournament this year, following the start of First Strike in March.
Let’s take a look at all the teams that will represent each major LoL region at MSI 2025.
All teams qualified for MSI 2025
LCK (Korea)
- LCK Road to MSI Champion: TBD
- LCK Road to MSI Runner-Up: TBD
- Teams in contention: Gen.G, T1, Hanwha Life, NS RedForce, Dplus KIA, KT Rolster
In this season of the League of Legends Champions Korea (LCK), both teams competing in the grand final automatically earn a spot at the main event of Mid-Season Invitational (MSI). Since Gen.G has secured a top position in league play, they’ll begin with a qualification match, which means they are only one best-of-three series away from booking their trip to MSI.
Apart from the second seed, all other teams will be seeded into the single-elimination “gauntlet”.
LPL (China)
- LPL Split 2 Champion: TBD
- LPL Split 2 Runner-Up (Play-In): TBD
- Teams in contention: Top Esports, Anyone’s Legend, JD Gaming, Bilibili Gaming, Invictus Gaming, Team WE, Weibo Gaming, FunPlus Phoenix, TT Gaming
Starting from May 31, the bracket phase for LPL Split 2 will commence. The top four squads – TES, Anyone’s Legend, JDG, and Bilibili – have directly advanced to this stage, bypassing others. Meanwhile, the remaining competitors had to battle it out in a single best-of-three playoff to secure their place.
The top two from the LPL final both proceed to MSI and EWC.
LEC (EMEA)
- LEC Spring Champion: TBD
- LEC Spring Runner-Up (Play-In): TBD
- Teams in contention: G2 Esports, Karmine Corp, Fnatic, Movistar KOI, GIANTX, Heretics
On May 27th, G2 Esports secured the first spot for MSI 2025 by outplaying Movistar KOI 3-1 in the upper bracket final. This victory ensures that G2 will participate in the LEC finals, as both teams have now advanced to MSI.
In the finale, the second-place team will descend to the MSI Play-In phase. Notably, both teams will secure a spot for the EWC tournament taking place in Saudi Arabia. Thus, we can add G2 to the list of participating teams alongside T1 at this event.
The LEC Spring final will take place on June 9.
LTA (Americas)
- LTA North Split 2 Champion: TBD
- LTA South Split 2 Champion (Play-In): TBD
- Teams in contention:
- LTA North: FlyQuest, Cloud9, Liquid, Shopify Rebellion, 100 Thieves, Dignitas
- LTA South: paiN Gaming, FURIA, Vivo Keyd Stars, LOUD, Isurus Estral, RED Canids
As a passionate fan, I’m excited to share that only one representative from both LTA North and LTA South will be attending the MSI. The champion hailing from LTA North gets a direct ticket to the main event, while the victor from LTA South must first conquer the Play-In stage to join the competition.
In my gaming world, the best two teams hailing from the Northern regions have snatched their spots for the Electronic World Cup (EWC). On the flip side, only the victorious squad from the South gets a pass to Riyadh. The final matches for both leagues are set for June 16, and I can hardly wait!
LCP (Asia-Pacific)
- LCP Mid-Season Qualifying Series Champion: TBD
- LCP Mid-Season Qualifying Series Runner-Up (Play-In): TBD
- Teams in contention: CTBC Flying Oyster, Team Secret Whales, TALON, GAM Esports, MGN Vikings, SoftBank HAWKS
At MSI, The LCP will dispatch two teams, and there’s a lot of anticipation that an APAC representative might replicate CTBC Flying Oyster’s impressive fourth-place finish from First Stand earlier this year. Remarkably, both finalists from the qualifying series will earn their spot at MSI. The champion of these qualifiers will bypass the Play-In and move directly into the group stage without delay.
