All CS2 teams qualified for the Perfect World Shanghai Major
As a seasoned CS2 gamer with over a decade of experience under my belt, I can confidently say that the Perfect World Shanghai Major is shaping up to be an epic showdown. With 24 teams from across the globe battling it out for their share of the $1.25 million prize pool, it’s going to be a spectacle like no other.
At the Shanghai Major, a total of 24 squads hailing from Europe, America, and APAC regions will compete to claim a piece of the impressive $1.25 million reward pot.
24 CS2 squads hailing from various parts of the globe are set to participate in the Shanghai Major, a competition with a prize pool of $1.25 million, starting on November 30th.
In the Shanghai Major, seven teams from the Americas and three from the Asia-Pacific region will participate. The remaining spots in the tournament will be filled by teams originating from Europe.
14 teams from the Europe RMR A and B divisions will progress to the final, Valve-supported CS:2 tournament that takes place annually.
At the initial phase of the Shanghai Major Perfect World, a diverse lineup of 16 teams hailing from Europe, America, and APAC regions will participate. The top eight performing teams will progress to the Knockout Stage, where they’ll encounter the leading eight European teams waiting in anticipation.
In this setup, both phases employ the Swiss system, where a team needs to secure three victories to progress or suffer three defeats to exit. Each game, whether for advancement or elimination, consists of best-of-three series, with the initial encounters being best-of-one matches.
Moving forward, the eight highest-ranked teams at the end of the Elimination Phase will progress to the knockout rounds (playoffs). Each match during the playoffs is a best-of-three series, even the championship games.
