All Creatures Great and Small season 5 gets first look trailer
As a gamer who has lived through numerous seasons of captivating TV dramas, I must say that the anticipation for All Creatures Great and Small season five is as thrilling as leveling up to the next stage in my favorite role-playing game. The trailer promises a continuation of the heartwarming tales set in the picturesque Yorkshire Dales, with a new batch of episodes scheduled for September 19.
Channel 5 has released the first trailer for All Creatures Great and Small season five.
The much-anticipated series resumes on Thursday, September 19th, offering fresh episodes that vividly portray the tales of James Herriot. We’ll be reconnecting with an array of vibrant characters – farmers, animals, and townspeople from the Yorkshire Dales in the 1940s.
In the spring of 1941, the new season begins, and we find ourselves rejoining Helen (played by Rachel Shenton), who is now navigating her way through motherhood after the birth of her son, Jimmy, towards the end of the previous season.
Despite having to go back to RAF Abingdon following Jimmy’s birth, the trailer hints at James (Nicholas Ralph) returning home, as a heartwarming reunion between him and Helen takes place, filled with strong emotions.
In other locations, Mrs. Hall (Anna Madeley) and Siegfried (Samuel West) delight in the presence of baby Jimmy, while the new apprentice Carmody (James Anthony-Rose) now fits comfortably within their household.
As the global conflict of World War II intensifies, I find myself shoulder-deep in surgeries, doing my part. Meanwhile, Mrs. Hall and Helen are pondering how they can best serve our community. On the other hand, Carmody can’t wait to take on a more significant role.
Simultaneously, Callum Woodhouse takes on the character of Tristan once more – Siegfried’s trickster brother – this time serving in the Royal Army Veterinary Corps.
However, his unexpected return to Darrowby “won’t be quite as straightforward as he hoped”.
This year, it was announced that the series All Creatures Great and Small will continue with not just one but two more seasons, the fifth and the sixth. Additionally, the first season of the show recently became available on Netflix in the past month.
channel5’s drama chief, Paul Testar, expressed his delight that “All Creatures Great and Small” is coming back for another two seasons on Channel 5.
“We’ve touched the hearts of our viewers with this series, and we’re excited to continue sharing James Herriot’s timeless tales. Prepare for more heartwarming episodes!”
All Creatures Great and Small will return on Channel 5 and My5 on Thursday, September 19 at 9pm.
