Alison Steadman and Katherine Parkinson’s returning BBC show gets update
As a seasoned gamer of life, I have witnessed countless episodes of comedic dramas unfold on my screen, but none quite as relatable and entertaining as “Here We Go.” Having grown up with the likes of “Gavin & Stacey” and “Rivals,” the prospect of another installment in this delightful series has me eagerly awaiting its return.
The BBC series “Here We Go,” featuring Alison Steadman from “Gavin & Stacey” and Katherine Parkinson, who stars in “Rivals,” has just announced some major news.
The third season of the sitcom has just begun filming, with seven new episodes set for next year.
To commemorate the event, a picture showcasing Steadman, Parkinson, creator and lead actor Tom Basden, along with recurring actors Jim Howick (known for Ghosts), Freya Parks (from This Town), Jude Morgan-Collie (A Good Girl’s Guide to Murder), and Tori Allen-Martin (Unforgotten) has been made public.
An overview has been provided, bringing us up-to-date about the actions our characters will be taking during the third installment.
In their new journeys, Rachel from Parkinson has become a therapist, and though Howick’s Paul is now a police officer, it remains an ongoing challenge for him to gain the admiration of his colleagues and children alike.
In the present scenario, Uncle Robin, portrayed by Basden, and Aunt Cherry, represented by Allen-Martin, find themselves quite occupied as they welcome the arrival of their new family member, baby Atlas. Meanwhile, Parks’ character, Amy, is currently navigating her own path in life.
Grandma Sue, portrayed by Steadman, has returned to live with us again, and Sam from the Morgan-Collie family is still here, stirring up trouble and filming it for posterity.
Additionally, it has come to light that the family plans a vacation to the island of Malta during the season, and it promises to be as hectic as you might anticipate.
It’s absolutely fantastic to be joining forces once more with our brilliant group of comedy veterans, as we prepare to share another installment of the Jessops’ humorous family struggles and daily escapades on BBC One,” expressed Basden.
In the meantime, the filming for the final Christmas special of Gavin & Stacey, which includes Steadman and is expected to be the series’ last episode, has been completed.
In the upcoming year, you’ll find season 3 of “Here We Go” on BBC One. If you haven’t seen the first two seasons yet, you can stream them immediately on iPlayer.
